i just went to the goodwill

i found a few things. now brent wants to go back tonight at 5. i wasn't sure if they closed at 5 or at 8 because their website is confusing. so i decided to call.

this is how the conversation went:

lady: (in a foreign accent) ballard goodwill. how can i help you?
me: yes. what time do you close?
l: what?
m: what time do you close?
l: NO.
M: what are your hours?
l: green tags. green tags.
m: oh..okay.
l: green tags are $1.29
m: do you close at 5?
l: NO. at 9.
m: okay thank you

so apparently they close at 9. who knew.
i had to stand in line behind some crotchety old bag who was buying pretty much all of the crap that they had. tarps, plastic tape holders, socks, socks, socks, stuffed animals. it was gross. you could tell she was eyeing the clerk too. she'd say "watch out. that is BREAKABLE. that picture frame. you better move it or it'll BREAK" then when it was time for her to pay she gave the clerk some piece of paper. i had already waited very patiently, mind you, for a really long time. so i finally moved. and the clerk had to call someone over to help her. i hate this old bag. she better not be there when i go back.
then, as i was leaving someone called over the intercom "can i have a price check on a rubrics cube?"

then end.
