another day. the same as yesterday.
it's finally friday. i been at work a little over an hour but i'm already bored. i read all of the news that i'm interested in reading. so now i need to find something else to do. yesterday i started reading "coal miner's daughter" by loretta lynn and i guess i could read that some more...
yesterday was the return of our "big long walk" after a three-day hiatus. we went to the u-district via wallingford neighborhoods. we passed a dad and his daughter on one block and as i walked past the little girl she held up a double A battery and said "look what we found on the bus!!" and i said "whoa!!" and kept walking. i hope that she knows that i was genuinely excited for her even though i probably didn't sound it. she looked a little old to be so excited about her new find and she didn't look retarded so i'm wondering why her dad let her keep something found on the bus. i know if the situation was reversed and i was the little girl and corey was my father and i found something on the bus and asked if i could keep it, i know he would have slapped it out of my hand right then and there. he says he's not a germaphobe but he is always talking about how his jeans are too long and how they were dragging on the bathroom floor of a mens room and "probably" have feces particles dangling off of the loose threads. i don't know. last night there was a pair of gently used birkenstocks on the ironing board that i told him i was going to sell. he said "what are those doing on the ironing board. where all my clean shirts get ironed!" i know that these shoes haven't been used in over 9 months so i'm sure the germs are dead by now.
my hands still smell like garlic from last nights dinner. i am very grossed out and i can't stop washing them to get the smell off. now who's the germaphobe?
