yeah. a few things
1. this computer is being very slow. i hate it.
2. i got my hair cut on saturday. did i already mention that? i might have. anyway. yesterday it was way cute. and today i wasn't able to let it totally air dry so now my bangs aren't being "cute curly bangs" and it's dumb. they are instead being "sort of wavy weak ass bangs". i might need to put a pin in them.
3. there is gross chocolate cake in the fridge. i'm not a fan of this kind of cake usually but i really want some. but i won't eat it. because i'm not going to eat anything that is not worth eating. something.
4. just a FYI: today is valentines day. corey and i will probably not be going to eat dinner or anything because that is weak ass. (also, neither of us get paid till thrusday.) anyway. here is a story:
valentines day is usually very lame. so lame that i think of it as being just a regular day. i have no idea what happened last valentines day. someone remind me please. i just looked on a calendar and it says that it was on a saturday. meh. that doesn't jog my memory so it probably wasn't that exciting.
however, i DO remember valentines day of 2003. i lived in iowa city. and corey came to visit me for a long weekend. i picked him up from the cedar rapids airport on thursday night. i drove him around IC and then we went to my house and went to bed because it was late. the next day was friday and i had to work from 10 - 5. lame! corey walked me to work. i asked if i could leave early. i think i left at 3 or something. it was still light out. i got home and corey was there. fun! then mark called and we went to george's and i ate a cheesy bun. corey had a hamburger if i remember correctly. when we left we stopped by "dirty johns" which is not the real name but actually a nick name. we got some berry flavored beer that is really good. i can't remember the name right now but i will find out. anyway, when we left it started to snow. we walked home and had drinks. it kept snowing. after a while we set out to walk to eagles food store. it's wasn't that far by then the snow was deeper. we bought food for dinner which was potato soup. i bought wine and didn't get carded. i thought i was pretty cool. when we walked home corey told me that i dragged my feet when i walked and then pointed to the footprints that i had been making. i was embarrassed. we got home and made dinner. then i gave him a hat that i made him. he said he wanted a black beanie that folded. i bought really expensive yarn from austrailia that was really soft. now the hat is stretched out and looks like a rasta hat. corey won't wear it. before corey came to visit me i told him he better not have any "ideas" about valentines day because i hated valentines day so he better not fucking get my anything. and he didn't. looking back on it i feel bad for yelling at him. i am a be-yotch.
ANYHOO, the rest of the weekend was really fun and after i got home from work on that monday he said "i can really see myself marrying you". i didn't say anything except for "oh" and then about a week later i said "so i hope i'm not being too presumptuous, but i bought one of those wedding magazines"
and from then on it was just sort of known that we would get married. of course he proposed "properly" when i went home for spring break. but i don't think very many people know this other story. maybe some people do. i have no idea though.

Ha! Great story Alison, especially the part about hating Valentines day, being broke, and buying a wedding magazine.
I did not know he basically proposed to you in Iowa...I remember when you were still there I hung out with him, Eva, and crew... and that he REALLY liked you. Oh that Corey!
Lets see...my "8" key above "y" and "u" is stuck in the down position and "Shift-k" won't make a captial k. My keyboard that I have been in LOVE with since I was 16 is dying. A horrible valentines day indeed.
