stick this in your pipe and smoke it.

i got an email from corey listing the things on the car that need to be fixed. do you want to know how much it will cost?

hint: it is more expensive than the cat deposit.
yeah, that's right. $1650.
so i guess when we get home we'll talk about it. and then we'll talk about it some more over dinner with my parents. we are taking them to the greek place and paying because it's the least we can do. using their car for 2 months = dinner at the greek place. i think that is about right.

christ on a stick.

is anyone else freaked out by the new pope? i don't like him.

that sucks about the car and is probably more money than the car is worth...
about the pope- i read something in the times of london about his stint in the hitler youth.
what can you do?
i HAVE to work tomorrow. even if i still feel like shit because we are very understaffed.
hiho

Well, I am not Catholic...so i'm not to concerned about who this "pope" happens to be.

The Hitler thing is interesting, but he's German, and the German people followed Hitler, you can't blame the guy...just like Catholics will follow this new Pope.

He was the right hand man of Pope John Paul II, so he can't be THAT bad. Again, I don't have to follow this guy so my concerns are purely whether or not I will have good joke material.

He's also 78 and hella conservative. This means Catholics still cannot use condoms and that is funny.

Disclaimer: all of this information derived from news accounts and I have never met the guy.

okay. well, i'm not catholic either, so it's hard for me to see what all the hubbub is about. the other morning on NPR some jerk was in rome at the pope thingy and he says "THIS IS AWSOME!! TWO GREAT POPES IN A ROW!!! THIS IS SO GREAT!"
i rolled my eyes.
i just don't get it. who's my leader supposed to be if i'm not religious or political?

is it you greg? or brad?
tell me?

This is an informed yet easily mockable response to the above post.

i'm totally freaked about it.. on the one hand.. but on the other, it would be nice for all the reasonable people who belong to the catholic church to just say 'meh, this guy is a jerk.. i'm not listenin to him'.. i just don't see that happening though. maybe he'll burst into flames soon.. like jonathan pryce in stigmata..
