yesterday i went to ikea with my mom. i got two prizes. a set of basket thingys and a 99 cent flower pot. i'm really excited about the basket things but i have only found a use for one so far. so anyway, it's august now. and that is all i have to say about that.
we finished off the month of july by taking a drive to bainbridge island in a rental car. we got the rental car because the seatbelts in my car broke. so it's all getting fixed and they gave us something to tool around town in. IT HAS AIR CONDITIONING!! i don't mind driving my car so much, it's just that driving in the summer sucks and all of my things smell like lawn mower. i left some jackets and sweaters in the back seat for a week or more and when i took the stuff out everything stank really bad. now i will have to wash all of it. butt.
anyway, so we drove to bainbridge island and stopped at port orchard which is a dumpy dump. we ate at a mexican place and it was gross. i'm so mad at myself for saying we should eat there because after we left i kept seeing signs for dairy queen. dairy queen!!
so in conclusion, next time we drive around there we will take a rental car again and we better fucking eat at dairy queen.

Hmm...did you make it to the historic/downtown part of Port Orchard near the marina? I think it's kind of quaint and cute.

yeah, i made corey stop because i wanted to go on the foot ferry to bremerton because it's free on weekends. or so says "Best Places" book from 1999. i also didn't realize that the foot ferry meant that the foot ferry picked you up there and then dropped you off in bremerton. i thought you just road around for a few minutes. so we didn't go on it and we walked up and down the "downtown"- three bail bonds places in a one block radius.... hmm..
everything was closed except for the 4 or so restaurants. and it was only 6:00!
