vacation
dear friends,
i'm trying to decide if we should go these cabins on the olympic peninsula or to vancouver for our anniversary thingy. i'm dying to go to the cabins because they are soooo cute. it would also be a very calm and quiet vacation. we went to vancouver for our honeymoon thing last year, and while i didn't have the greatest time when we were there(i only brought one pair of shoes, we walked everywhere, it rained almost the whole time, we walked everywhere, our bed was lumpy, the couch in the room had rips in it, no alarm clock...) i do have found memories looking back on it. we went on a bike ride around stanley park. that was fun. we walked everywhere. that was fun after i got shoe inserts. it rained while we walked a mile home... i guess what made it fun was that corey was there so it wasn't so bad. although, i do remember getting worried that i was complaining too much. ha.
okay. i need to go crunch some numbers. if we don't go on a mini-vacation i'm going to be so mad.

I haven't been to those particular cabins, but Daniel and I stayed at a the Lake Quinalt Lodge after going on a backpacking trip last October. It was really, really relaxing and quite beautiful. Plus there are a ton of trails to go hiking on. And there bunnies! Lots of them.

yeah, i'm leaning more towards the peninsula. i was looking for pictures of lake quinalt on flickr and there was one picture of the lodge. it is HUGE! i need to look that up and see what it's like.
