SOMETHING REALLY DUMB.
when i got home from work there was a slip in the door from the mail man. i need to pick up a parcel.a registered parcel. so i got in the car and drove to the post office. i had something to mail anyway. soooo. i got there and mailed my letter and then rang the buzzer. the guy who answered is this guy who usually works at the counter and he is a sassy jerk. ex: when i'm at his counter mailing a package and he asks me the usual questions "anything fragile. liquid? perishable?" and then he pauses and says "...STYLISH??" which, you know, is pretty funny. i mean, i laughed the first few times it happened. because yes, in fact, what i was mailing WAS stylish! anyway, if i answered "yes" or laughed he didn't really acknowledge me and i thought that was dumb. whatever. anyway, another time i was in his line he charged me $4.30 for sending a package priority with delivery confirmation when i didn't WANT priority. whatever. then, another time, he gave my my change by setting it on the counter and separating all of it. receipt. dollar. dollar. nickel, penny, penny, penny, quarter. please.
so, TODAY: i ring the buzzer and he opens the door and takes my slip and says "oooh! what's this? hmm, this looks like, what we say in the business... SERIOUS MAIL!" okay... so then "oh. well you got this today? your mail carrier still has the package. you can come back around six and get it."
so i didn't get my package. that was a really big build up for a lame story too. i guess i was just annoyed that he couldn't humor me by at least going back and looking for something. whatever, dinner can wait because i'm going back. i want my package!
the cat got into the shredded recycling and now there is a big mess. it is nobodies fault but my own.
we are eating pre-made turkey burgers for din. i hope they thaw out before it's time to eat them. i mean cook them.
now i have to go get ready to go get my package. PACK-AGE.
