exciting-er-ist!
ohmigod. go to your itunes and type in "laffy taffy" and listen to the preview. LISTEN!!! we heard this song in the car the other day and i said "shake your laffy taffy? what does that mean?" and corey said "i think they probably mean lap taffy..." eww. whatever lap taffy is, gross.
here's what reviewers on itunes have to say:
"an outright embarrassment for hip hop."
"if you like this song, you have problems"
exciting news from this morning: my 19 year old car still gets 26-27 miles to the gallon. WOOT!
excitinger news from this afternoon: my new shoes came in the mail.
they fit great.
i just heard a new cat power song on the radio on the way home. "lived in bars" i think it was called and the new album is coming out soon. i just listened to a couple singles on itunes and now i'm REALLY excited.
sweet, turns out my new years resolution of "listening to more music" is turning out nicely.
we've been listening to a lot of beck lately. i highly recommend guerolito . it's way great. regular guero is good too, but i haven't listened to it that much because we just got it the other day.
oh, and corey got me this long winters ep for christmas, and it's fantastic.
toots. i've been listening to kexp at work and it's nice and all, but i still miss steve scher and the conversation. oh well.
wait! more exciting things...i went to the fabric store and goodwill this afternoon.
pictures to follow
from goodwill:

this is a huge piece of silkscreened stuff. it's kind of stiff. i haven't opened it up all the way yet because it feels weird to touch. it seems to have pleats in it too. i don't know.
i bought the kitty a slightly used cat bed from the goodwill. i don't know. i feel a little bad getting her something that some other kitty might have used. just because she's a kitty doesn't mean she won't notice if it's got different kitty stank all over it. anyway, i had seen one like it at mudd bay and wanted to get one because it's shaped like a miniture laundry basket and she likes sleeping in that. but the kitty thing was retardedly over priced, like $30 or something. the one i bought today was $4. i didn't take a picture of it because you would be bored looking at it.
now it's time for me to wash the dishes. so that i can make pizza for dinner. oh, GUESS WHAT?!?! i forgot to mention that on monday i went to crotch-co with my mom. i bought a 2.5lb bag of spinach. i hope we can eat all of it. the bag is so big. it's taking up all the room in our fridgie.
okay, enough!

That laffy taffy song is sweet, yo. I wish I could play the Casio like that. But no part of me is (or will ever be) made of laffy taffy. Mostly I think I alternate between being made of vanilla pudding and some sort of brisket. I've been finding good music lately too. Well, no, most of it's shit. But *I* like it. So far I've collected various tracks by The Faint, Robbie Williams (I like only part of his new album, so I'm not a total loser), She Wants Revenge (which was an iTunes freebee last week), Spoon, MORE NIN, an album called "Pornosonic" that I bought for Joe but still have in iTunes anyway, a new ATB song, The Hippos, Authority Zero, Zero 7, and of course the Arctic Monkeys. Have you listened to those songs I gave you yet? I like them, and so does Brett, which is more than I can say for the Faint, because Brett HATES them. Oh, and if you're worried about using all of your spinach, talk to Brett because he's really good at cooking with it, and can probably help you come up with ideas. The End.

The new Cat Power is damn good. So is the new Mates of State, The Gossip, Belle & Sebastian, and Quasi. I love my internship. Would you like copies of any of these? Circle yes or no.

whatever tyson, mates of state gets on my nerves. ON MY NERVES. i'm okay with the gossip and belle and 'bastian. can't place quasi. but i probably wouldn't like it.
i'd say yes to a copy of cat power but you know i'm against that kind of thing. and all. WE PAY FOR OUR MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
