4 weeks

wowsers. i can't believe little baby-doo has been here 4 weeks already. it seems like no time at all has gone by. mostly because the first few weeks i was getting so little sleep and all the days were blending into one extended day. now we're are getting more sleep and everything is going well for the most part.

things we need to work on:

little baby doesn't like to be carried very long in the pouch sling i got before he was born. he usually only tolerates it for 20 minutes tops before he starts crying. i'm wearing him right now and he's sleeping...i'm wondering if we just need to practice for a while for him to get used to it?
i have also try wearing him with a wrap (like the moby wrap) and he's not sure about being worn that way either.

so i've been watching insane amounts of tv lately. in the beginning it seemed like there were days when the tv was on all day and all night. we don't have cable so i watched a lot of the price is right, martha stewart and rachel ray (even though she annoys me) and all of those horrible summer time reality/variety show things that are on.
this commercial comes on sometimes and drives me insane.

time to go!

alison!

If you get bored watching "regular" TV, try out TVUPlayer.

http://www.tvunetworks.com/ OR

http://dl-us.tvunetworks.com/TVUPlayer.zip

(skips the stupid 'agree' 'disagree' terms of service.

Best I can tell, the whole thing is spyware free, but it does do Google style ads, which can be avoided if you use VideoLAN to connect to port 8901 while TVUPlayer is minimized to the tray...You still have to use TVUPlayer to change channels, but once that is done, fire up VideoLAN.

As always, ask your Hubby :)

You can even watch Korean TV!!! Korean!

Have a happy 4th!

would you like to try my mai tei? I'm not really using it anymore. I could drop it off at Cat's and you could see if you like it better. I was surprised, because neither of my girls like being in the pouch sling at all but really dug the mai tei even though they looked less comfy. I think it's the tummy to tummy they like and it doesn't feel as confining to them...maybe? It's brown and teal with khaki trim and straps so it's not girly. let me know, I'd love to share! fruitoftheloomis1@gmail.com
