ohmigod.
i can't seem to get off of the computer and do stuff that i want to do. i can't sit down at the sewing machine for more than 2 minutes before i throw my hands in the air. this is bugging me. i know i'll get out of this sewing rut soon enough but come on. this is the most annoying thing in the world. i guess i'm not inspired enough? or something? i don't know. i have some ideas that i've been thinking about and obviosly they aren't "cool enough" for me to sit down and try out RIGHT NOW. i don't know. god. god!!!
i already made my own crappy dinner because i was hungry and didn't want to wait for corey. i have nothing to do except sewing and i don't want to do it.
butts.

full of links
are you watching "felicity american girl something or other" on the wb right now? i am. and there's nothing you can say to make me change the channel. man, that little felicity girl is annoying as hell. and not very cute either. she's no anne shirley i'll tell ya that much! whoo-wheeee!
speaking of anne of green gables, i made an x-mas list and i haven't put the anne of green gables set on there yet. did anyone ever see the continuing story? i did and it was lame. i don't recommend it. but, i do recommend tales from avonlea. if you're into that kind of thing. which i am... just FYI, i have also seen this old version of anne of GG and, well, meh.
GROSS! a commercial for next weeks 7th heaven just showed and ruthie was sexy dancing again. jesus christ. someone get that girl off of the tv.
so yeah. today i went to work early but left at regular time. it was fantastic. i went to FM and bought some dinner materials and this soap because it smells really good, doesn't leave that disgusting soap residue like other stuff, and because i was feeling frivolous. the other day we went shopping and needed soad and didn't feel like spending $6 on one bar so we went to the regular soap isle and bought this shit. i used it the next morning and when i got home in the evening the whole apartment smelled weird. like someone elses house. i went in the hall and it smelled stronger. i went into the bathroom and POW!!!! IN YOUR FACE!!!! i hate regular soap and i never want to use it again. i never feel clean when i use it. like the soap never gets rinsed off. plus, it's smell is too powerful. TOO MUCH!
i went joging/stairing earlier. it was pretty cold out. yesterday morning i had to scrape my windows. LAME! this morning i did not.
we are trying to keep our heat down. because being warm is frivolous.
i kinda want to eat a bowl of cereal but 1. i ate a big dinner (a small bowl of soup with 3 rolls. then more than enough ice cream) and 2. it's sort of late.
but eating cereal is also very relaxing so i'll have to think about this one.
okay, i'm outta here.

dumb
i'm sewing right now and sewing is being dumb. first, i can't think of anything good to sew. 2. i sewed my thumb. only not really. my thumb was under that little screw knob and then it squished the nail. it hurt.
i am trying to make a pouch that looks like this and has tabs at both ends of the zipper.
it isn't easy. and looking back at those pictures of the other square pouch that i made not that long ago makes it look kind of easy (if i do say so myself) but. but!!, i sewed the opening end tab of that zipper pouch about 20 times. on this pouch i am sewing now i cannot get the tabs center. it's kind of pissing me off.
so, friday i went shopping with eva. we went to ross, marshalls, and cost plus. i bought a new sheet set, duvet cover and bathroom mat thing at ross. and some mittens for myself. the sheets and duvet stuff are really great. even for ross's standards. the sheets are green with a darker green chevron print and the duvet cover is brown. just brown. dark. they look great together. at cost plus i got a marzipan pig simlilar to this only more life like and with a mushroom thing hanging out of it's mouth. i gave it to lui who we met at don's.
while at don's i had a cinnamon roll and 6 or more cups of coffee.
then we drove to everett and went to macy's and i almost bought 8 pairs of socks but then decided not too. lui bought eyeshowed. eva bought earrings.
saturday me and corey-dog did the usual u-dist walk and coffee shopping/bookstore stuff. then we went home and very much later watched the ring 2. naomi watts kind of bugs me (a lot) and she looks like a chipmunk through out the whole movie. a really ugly and stupid chipmunk.
for dinner i ate a roll with mashed taters, cheese and ham. it wasn't as good as it sounds. for lunch i ate a fake hotdog. it wasn't as good as it looked. corey likes them. i think they taste like dog food.
corey is making fun of me typing so i think i will sign off.

DOOR BUSTER!
i just returned from joannes. i woke up at 9 this morning and didn't even take a shower, just so i could get my DOOR BUSTER SAVINGS before 9 am. and i barely made it. but now i have some new zippers and thread. (which apparently will but 50% off next week but whatevssssss)
thanksgiving was, for the most part, successful. or something. we have two sacks of rolls left over so that will take about a month to eat. but the pumpkin cheesecake i made turned out well. and that is all that matters. we got home by 5:30 and napped and then woke up and watched some google videos. then i called some friends. then i went to bed. it was all very nice and good.
today my plan is to take a shower and get ready. then maybe sew a pouch or two. then call eva and lui. because there is a plan to go door busting. though, i'm not in the mood for serious door busting i would probably be more up for some chair busting. but we'll see how it goes.
oh yeah, i made cookies last night too. this is the first time i have made chocolate chip cookies in this joint. i think because i never have all of the ingredients. like vanilla. or the chocolate chips. this time i didn't have enough white sugar so i fudged it and just added mostly brown sugar. they didn't turn out awful, but next time i'll just wait till i have enough sugar.
TTFN.

noon time
i am enjoying some hot eats and cool treats for lunch. and by "hot eats" i mean split pea soup with ham and by "cool treats" i mean fresca sparkling peach citrus flavored soda with other natural flavors.
i'm listening to kexp right now. for the past few months i was listening to npr non-stop because i like listening to people talking. but it was getting boring (and the station kept getting fuzzy) so i switched over. yesterday i was amazed by how crappy the music was. i think i heard 3 or 4 regular radio station bands. you know, like stuff you'd hear on any regular channel. the ramones? coldplay? the strokes? there was some other stuff i'm sure, and most of it made me feel like switching back to the talk stuff.
here is a list of things i am thankful for:
- i am thankful for deepfried sushi
- i am thankful for cupcakes with pink frosting
- i am thankful for corey helping my with website stuff and being a pretty cool dude in general.
- i am thankful for our attitudinal kitty
- i am thankful for flickr and etsy because the internets can get really boring sometimes. but these two sites are endless.
- i am thankful that i stopped making lame ass excusses and started sewing stuff. yay for sewing stuff!
i just finished my soup. it was good at first but towards the end all of the "split peas" were 1. not split and 2. hard. ??? for the record, this soup was from a can and wasn't something i made. i have made pea soup before and the peas were not hard. but they were split. if i can remember right.
i need to make an x-mas list because my mom asked the other day if she should look at my amazon list or my wists list. she should probably look at neither because my amazon list is old and i can not log in any more. i tried to make a new list but then only added one thing to it. my wists list is full of things that are either too expensive, no longer availble, or only things that i want to look at a picture of. there are a few things on there they i WANT, but most of it is just stuffs that i don't actually need. something i DO need and WANT would be one of those dumb excercise/yoga ball things. i had one, and then the cat put her claw in it and it went "PFFFFFFFFFFTTTT" and then went into the garbage. i want a pair of slippers that i can wear around the house and outside if the mood strikes. i wouldn't wear them to the store or anything. just out side. to you know, smoke or something? except that i don't smoke. so, i guess i would want the slippers to go outside incase friends were over that smoked and i wanted to go outside and watch them smoke.
i want a new digicam because mine is slowing dying. actually, it is not dying slowly at all. it's kind of dying at a moderate rate. i want a canon elph. that would be nice.
ya hear that corey?!
after i get home i might take a nap so that i can prepare for my cheesecake making. i'm pretty excited to make this pumpkin cheesecake because last year i made it twice and ate a lot of the first one. every day after work i would cut myself a slice because i didn't want to waste it. then, when i made the second one, i was so sick of it that the empty pans in the sink made me gag. i did not eat any at t-giving either. this year i will only be making it ONCE! i bought short bread cookies to make the crust with. it better fucking work because i didn't buy any graham crackers to use instead. i'm also going to make some mini cheesecakes that are made with tofutti better than creamcheese for the people who can't eat real creamcheese. (my mom and i think cat. ??) i have no idea how they will turn out but i will let you know.
i also need to buy rolls because i promised i would bring them. please don't let me forget.
okay, well hows that for a long and non sense filled blog post?

last night i had a dream that i had a baby. not like "gave birth" to a baby, but i was holding a baby and it was my own personal baby. a few nights earlier i had a dream that someone gave me a baby to hold and so i held it. it was reallly cute. it was wearing those footy-jammie things and had little kicky legs.
don't worry though- i'm NOT preggers.
we went to sam's sushi in ballard again. this time with brad. i ordered the creamcheese unagi deep fried roll and california maki rolls. both very VERY GOOD! corey and brad got "sam's plate" because they always order the exact same meal where ever we go. anywho. so mine was sooo good that i had dreams about it.
yummmsters.
i have to leave for work now. but we will catch up more later. okay?
okay.

ass in the face
janie's got a gun is playing on the computer right now. you want to know why? because we are ripping our entire cd collection even though about 4/5 of it is CRAP. i guess there could be worse songs though. (p.s. the aerosmith is corey's. not mine.)
oh, guess what?
i was social on saturday night. WHa..?! yeah. i went to a thing at a place with carolyn/tyson/sally. i will tell you this much: it involved a dude dressed like janette reno swinging around a stuffed animal on a stick.
okay. some other notable notes that happened recently:
-saturday night corey wiped what i thought was a booger on my hand. i got really mad at him for about 5 minutes until he told me it wasn't a booger but really a lentil skin from his lentil soup.
-i bought a dumb magazine friday night and it was lame.
-sunday we watched a dirty shame.
we also cleaned most of the living room and re-arranged furniture.
-sometime on saturday i agreed to make pumpkin cheesecake, another cheesecake, and bring rolls to dinster on thursday.
-i finished up some pouch things and added them to my shoppe-thing. you can check them out.
if you want.
barhg. before i sat down to write this i had a bunch of stuff to say and then i started to type and all i can think to say is "i'm tired and shit" and i've already said that like 20 times before.
i better go.

long time.
i am eating cheese and crackers and waiting for c-dog to get home so we can go eat some where. i am very, very hungry.
i'd tell you that the reason i haven't talked to you in a while is because i was "busy" but i can't remember what with. i think i went shopping one day for corey shoes. and for myself another day. i also SEWED a lot. oh, and this weekend we really need to get the oil changed in the car since it hasn't been done since march. so i don't know if i will talk to you then either.
gotta go change my socks. and make myself a gin and tonic!!
toodles!

i trimmed my hair this morning.
here is my weekend in a nutshell:
friday: took a very intense nap. woke up with drool all over face and pillow twice. dreamt of past highschool teachers coming "out". ate sushi in ballard. bought computing cable at FM.
saturday: went on U-district walk. stopped at ivars for lunch. bookstore, magazine store... had coffee, went home. drove to FM to return computing cable. then to edmonds to buy another computing cable and ink and note cards.
sunday: transfered computer files, laundry and light cleaning. up to marysville for fabric thrifting and dinsters with parents. then to cat and scooters to watch goth videos on dvd.
my favorite parts included sushi, files transfered and selling things on etsy which i forgot to mention. yay!
when i go home today i will probably upload some long lost pictures from past years (like 2 years ago. or so...)
probably some sewing will done too. because i have new fabric and a shoppe that needs updating.

mosaic thing
hello. i made this mosaic thing over here. i'm sure i am behind the times and such but it's still really fun.

you should go try it if you want. TRY IT!

yesterday/today
i stopped at goodwill yesterday. for the first time EVER i found some fabics. all pretty standard stuff, but it was all cheap. i got the softest red corduroy, b&w houndstooth, and some grey and red strip t-shirt material that i will probably try and make a shirt with. if there is enough. it is sewn together at the ends so that is in a circle shape so i'll have to cut it and see what the hell is up. i also got a pair of gap jeans that are somewhere between black and really dark blue/black, i'm not really sure. they are of the "boot cut " variety and what that really means is "practically tapered" but they go well with my slip on shoes. i bought these same jeans in dark blue a few years ago at the shop in save in m-vill and i think i recently gave them away. for some reason. they are not the same pants though, these are in almost new condition.
then i stopped by bartells and bought orange nail polish. nail polish is really expensive and i don't know why. bartells does not carry wet'n'wild so i spent $3.50 on it. sheesh. other stuff was also bought, including baby oil, and mini-size lotion and shampoo stuff for traveling. i was feeling frivolous!
after that i walked over to jo-anns and picked up some sewing notions and found some cute fabric stuff that i might use to make a tote bag FOR MYSELF.
then i left and drove home. except that when i got almost home i decided that i needed to go to FM and something interesting was on the radio so i kept driving. at FM i purchased draino, hand soap, non-latex gloves and power bars "harvest flavor". i hate to say this (only not really) but some of those power bars are REALLY GOOD and probably better than the go lean bar. plus they are on sale right now.
then i left and went home for reals. cleaned, ate dinner, washed clothes, cleaned more, sewed, listened to the radio , watched my stories (everwood, ER, sex-y-city) went to bedsters. it was a late night and i'm tired AGAIN today but not as tired as usual. i might take a nap when i get home. i might not.
not sure if this post is bordering on "most boring post ever" but whatever. WHAT-EVER.
okaybye

thur
i'm probably going to the fabric store this afternoon. i want to go to bartells too, so i can buy stuff. stuff like nail polish. its a good idea for me to go to the thrift store while i'm out. you know, because i don't like spending too much time out and about so it's best if i do it all at once.
i've been getting these really bad side headaches lately. on my left side. it sometimes goes behind my eyes too. i'm not sure if i should be worried or not. this morning i got up at about 8:40 instead of my usual (as of lately) 7:30. it was good to sleep in a little but i still feel exhausted. oh, i'm also have jaw pain on my left side. i'm telling you this becasue i'm too lazy to go to the doctor. i hope that is okay with you.
my hands are cold.
i ate combos and a banana for lunch.

one fifteener
i have a bad case of afternoon sleepies right now. i didn't drink any coffee this morning and that might be why. or it could be staying up too late last night, or not getting a very good nap in the afternoon, OR maybe it was becasue i woke up too early this morning.
meh. for being up so late yesterday i got next to nothing done. NO-THING! i watched gilmore girls and washed some dishes.
i have some sewing ideas but most of the require fabric or hardware that i don't have. i get paid on thursday. i want to buy some nail polish. and some draino. i don't know what else.
i have this weird feeling that i forgot to pay a bill. it's really freaking me out.

risen from the dead
this day light savings bull shit is really wearing me out. it is not even FIVE THIRTHY and it is dark out. i'm just getting up from my much needed nap feeling like i haven't done anything today.
why do we need to save daylight again? i think it's so people can play golf earlier in the morning or something.
fuck. i'm hungry.

weekends
we went shopping yesterday and bought some weird "buttery spread" that has no "tranny acids" or other bad things.i'm told tranny acids are really, really bad for you. i'm testin on my breakfast toast and the jury is still out.
yesterday we also went to the urban craft uprising craft show thingy to see what it was all about. and it was pretty much really overwhelming. it was crowed and there was a lot of stuffs to look at. we walked through once and then went and got coffee and then went back for a second look when it was less crowded. i saw one table there with some interesting stuff but it does not have a website. so wah. anyway, i'm not saying that i would never want to try and sell things at a "craft show" or what-have-you, but it seems like a lot of "work" or a lot of something that i'm not sure if i'm into. like, for example, most people have a table FULL of things. full!!! i'm am not very prolific and i think i'd have have to sew a year or something to get enough stuff for it to seem worth it. also, i'm not doing this to make money and i'm comfortable where i'm at right now. which is sewing when i feel like sewing and not doing anything if i don't feel like it. i'm a pretty lazy person. so there.
so, this post isn't mundane enough so here are some other things that happened this weekend.
-friday we ate out at tacos guyumas. i had a chimichanga and it was nast. it is good to try other things once in a while just so you know that a veggie burrito is a good standby. much later we met with brad. i got carded.
- saturday was spent sitting inside because it rained pretty much NON-STOP! at 8 we decided to go to a movie. but first we were going to eat. we went to this resteraunt in U village that was somewhat fancy and expensive. i got clams and linguine and corey got the special which was seafood stew. the waiter asked for my "drinking pass" and not for corey's. BOGUS! we got DESSERT and cofffee afterwards. by the time we were finished we missed the movie so we went to Barnes and noble and tooted around. corey looked for a map and couldn't finda good one. i bought LUCKY. he bought a nerd alert computer book. we left.
-sunday was also spent inside for at least half the day. then the craft thing and then walking around pioneer squares and getting coffee. then shopping at FM. then home.
i think a movie was watched somewhere in there too. it was called "palindromes" and it wasn't about the TMBG song.
floop. moop. schoopers.

puke.
i'm telling you this now because if i wait until the morning i probably won't care.
we just met up with brad at the buckaroo. something happened between the last time we were there (a month ago?) and tonight and it has turned into a hell hole where all the girls wear shiny tank tops and the bartenders are different AND i got carded THREE FUCKING TIMES.
first: some girl asked for my id first thing and of course didn't ask for corey's or brad's because they are old men. then she walked away and a dude (who doesn't look a day over 21) came up and asked for it. THEN right before last call the dude comes to our table to tell us it's gonna be last call and "did i check your id already? i have checked soooooo many ids tonight..." what a fucking ass hole.
anyway, they also played your stereotypical dive bar music: johnny cash and some sort of monster ballad mixed cd. and elvis. and way too many people were dancing. DANCING! i don't know where these people came from but i suspect the other side of the freeway. either way, i was majorly turned off by it. puke. PUKE!!!

did anyone else crap their pants over last nights ER? oh my god! the baby chimp in the diaper! does it get any better? i think every show should have a baby chimp. i feel the need to go rent dunstin checks in now.

2:30
hello. first i would like to just get this out in the open. i have been holding it too long: the lunchtime hosts/hostessessss at spagetti factory are both homely and annoying as hell. there. i said it.
today i am wearing green socks, shoes and shirt and purple underwares and sweater. the sweater has handpainted buttons of red flowers and green leaves so it ties into the green i'm wearing. also included in my outfit are a pair of jeans. just FYI. i'm the cutest thing i ever did see.
this morning i sewed a cosmetic bag for someone that i know. i guess you could say it was a "custom order" which sounds dumb but is true. she asked for specific size, shape and fabric. i usually hate doing things like that because it feels like doing homework or something and you all know how much i hate homework. if you don't, it means that i will put it off until forever. but i did it and i liked it and it turned out well considering everything that went wrong: i only had enough fabric for this bag and nothing more. i sewed the design on it and then realized that i should have made it bigger. so i tried to seam-ripper it out but it wasn't working. i decided to go to joanns and buy more fabric. well, according to some lady at joanns they have been out of brown cordoroy since the summer. what? i'm sure i have bought some or seen some recently. whatever. so i bought some thread and prints and called it good. then i went home and seam rippered some more and went to bed. i didn't know what i was going to do. in the morning i continued my seam rippering and FINALLY all of it was out. the cord took a beating but there wasn't really anything i could do about it. i sewed a new and better design (with the new thread. better colors) and then finished it up and was done with it. yay!
so did anyone else feel deceived by last nights ANTM? maybe it was because i haven't seen the last two episodes in their entirety or something but those commercials made it seem like a new eipsode. RIP OFF. anyway. whatevs. right?
will it bother anyone if i go home and take a nap? the cat was laying on a pile of blankies when i left this morning. she has been blankie snoozin' for the past two weeks or so. it seems that it might be her new favorite past time. anyway, it looks fun when she does it, so i might give it a whirl.

third time today
a few things...
1. i found the ring i lost last week. YESSSS!!!!
i found it while picking up around my sewing area/kitties lunch room. it was on the floor. i'm sure kitty is to blame but it doesn't really matter now.
2. it smells like onions in here which is because i made AWESOME breakfast burritos for dinner. but the smell is kinda gross.
3. i am looking for my pinking shears but they are nowhere to be found. because, you know, if it's not one thing, it's another.
so it goes.

afternoon thoughts
so i was in my "craft area" earlier cleaning and organizing and then somehow got distracted and started "ripping" music to the computer which then lead to this blog post. was that a run on sentence or what?
i'm also listening to KEXP on the radio. earlier they played patsy cline "walking after midnight". i think i have come to the conclusion that i prefer loretta lynn to patsy cline. the other day when i driving somewhere i heard a loretta lynn song on the radio that i had never ever heard before but i knew it was her. i felt really good about myself. and sad at the same time because i knew that i had no loretta lynn at home to listen too. boo. anyway, so it seems like i came here to post something life changing, but instead all i really have to say is "i like loretta lynn".
so i will just leave it at that because it's all you really need to know.

nov. 1
it's been, like, forever since i've talked to you last. how are you? what have you been doing?
our weekend consisted of 3 halloweener parties, one sitting of the parents house, one walk to the udistrict, one bus ride to downtown, and one trip to nordies to buy some slip on shoes. in the green variety. or "leprechaun" as zappos says.
so now i have new shoes which i love. i tried on the white pair first and looked like an old man so i decided to go with the green because that was the only other color they had. i think i made the right choice.
other news: i still can't stop eating candy at work. yesterday i ate so much that i still wasn't hungry when i made my lunch at 2!! i usually get hungry at 11:45 and wait til past 12 to eat. whatever though, it's really cold out and eating candy makes me warm on the inside. right?
something else. i'm tired or something.
oh yeah, why the fuck is the new halloweener simpsons on NEXT sunday?
way past halloweensters? "nedzone" was funny though, and i don't remember seeing it before but still. BUT STILL!
meh.
bye.
