nap attack mother effer.

hey yeah, i have the day off today. i got up at 8 to make corey a lunch then i went back to bed. how bout that! oh, and guess what? i also have tomorrow off (duh), the day after, (still duh) and the day after that!!!
four day weekend!

my plan is to get clean and walk down the road and hang out in the magazine store then pcc and get some breakfast/lunch and then stop by mr. movies and pick something up. then i'll come home and finish the stamps i've been carving.
about this stamp carving: i once carved something out of a real lino block thinking that maybe i could make a design for our wedding invitations. it was gay. i mean, i carved the thing alright it was just very annoying and hard. so i think i lost intrest. then corey made something else up in photoshop and had them printed at the printers.so that was that with the invites. however, way back in japanese class in 11th or 12th grade we brought erasers to class to carve our japanese names in kanji and make a name stamp for our homework. that was way cool. i think i went home and tried carving my name a bunch more times. anywhoo.
kitty is staring at me and i need to get my ass out of the house.
but first you should have a picture..
best treat ever
this is what my grama makes for x-mas. it's called boterletter and it's delish. it's hard not to eat the whole stick in one sitting.
we ate ours last night becasue i wanted some sweets.

FART! it's raining now. i waited too long. maybe it will stop. maybe i can use an umbrella?

one more thing!!

wowsers, i can't believe i forgot to mention this:
1729-101888-d.jpg

i bought some shoes on the internet today. WHOA! this is the first time buying shoes online and i'm really excited. they better fit.
you're probably wondering why i'm getting another pair of new shoes so soon after getting these. well, guess what? there's a hole in them. left shoe, toe area. pssshaaw! i'm not surprised though, when i was a wee one i used to get holes in my slip on payless brand keds in the same toe spot. such a shame. i was excited for wearing those in the summer. but these new shoes are cuter. yayyy!
oh, and these red ones are the same brand as these rubber ones.

dumb (but necessary) things i did today:
-got the oil changed
-cleaned the toilet
-washed clothes

fun (and still necessary)things i did today
-bought dinner foods at pcc
-made an awesomely delish dinner of hamburgers
-carved some stampers
-

bloop. i have a problem. my legs won't stop itching and i can't stop scratching. this afternoon it was my shins and thigh area and right now it's behind my knees and i can't stop scratching and it's driving me crazy!!!! i just put some of the hand rash cream that the doctor gave me on it. i hope it helps. i'm trying to think of my why legs would itch so bad. cold weather? (its not that cold) dry skin? meh???
new laundry soap? yes, maybe, but i don't itch anywhere else. fleas? doubt it.
i'm out of ideas.

shoes

151583-NAV.jpg

i think i like these shoes. yesterday we went on a walk and i was telling corey that more people should make cute rubber shoes. sometimes going on a walk in seattle is just so totally gross. with all of the wet, soggy, muddy and squishy leaves around. oh, and puddles. there is a huge puddle in our parking spot. it is hard to avoid stepping in it. and yeah, i do have a pair of red birki clogs that i got for my 19th b-day, but clogs are stupid because they flip mud and dirty leaves onto your pants when you walk. and they are clompy and not as comfortable as you'd think they should be. which is why i never where them. these rubber mary jane things are cute in navy and red. i want a pair.

my hair is butt.

corey got an ipod yesterday. i'm sort of jealous but not really. i mean, what's his is mine, right? yes. anyway, so he wants me to make some kind of ipod case so i need to get brain back into thinking and sewing mode. which it has been out of for a while.

i'm working until 5 today. i'm really freaking tired because last night i didn't go to get until 2 or something. then i slept until 9 and braided my hair for work so that i didn't have to wait for it to dry. i need a haircut so bad. but i hate going thru the whole process. i want someone else to do it for me (calling, going to the place, small talk, paying and tipping). i will try to call some place tonight though. but until then i'm wearing my hair in braids because i don't feel like making an effort.

toots!

It wasn't the airplanes; it was beauty killed the beast

we saw king kong last night and yes, it was a good movie and all but it really didn't need to be so long. and naomi watts didn't need to be so annoying. but it was and she was so mehhh.

i'm home from work today and i'd really like to get a butt load of laundry done and clean up my sewing area. i've been taking a break from sewing for a couple of weeks and i'm not ready to start yet, but its such a mess in there that if i wanted to go in there and sew something on a whim it would be hard to get much done.

corey is home too, and of course yesterday we had big ideas for staying home today and trying to unclog the tub drain and cleaning and what-have you, but he's napping now. and i think i'll be napping soon too. brad and rusty trombone came over last night after going to the bar. i went to bed and they stayed up and watched videos on the computer. i could hear them laughing until 3 or so. sheesh.

corey got me some mastercarve blocks for x-mas and i'm really excited to get my carving tools out of the closet and make something cool. maybe after a short mid-morning nap?
sounds good.

dear baby jesus. way to be born. PRESENTS TIME!

shit. i'm so wired right now. after eating dinner and opening presents with the fam we stopped at don's to see lui, dee and carolyn. i had coffee. i hope i can sleep tonight.
presents:
presents for the fam.

drinking coffee:
drinking coffee and eating chilli at DON'S.

i got a yoga ball from my mom. the cat better not put her claw in it. because that is what she did to the other one i bought. i will cry if anything happens to this one.
oh, i got an itunes card thing too. i plan on getting some loretta lynn with it. and i also got a mini tube of lip fusion. i'm not so much into the "lip plumping" part as the smell good part. it smells pretty good.

lastly:

why the fuck are you making me wear this moose thing on my head.

it was good to see friends tonight. i don't think i see them enough.

more butt support.

i know that this season is all about "giving" to "others" or something, but while out shopping yesterday i saw this really cute sweater that would probably look really cute on me. and it was on the sale rack. $90 marked down 30%. i know, it's still sort of expensive for a cream colored lightweight button up cardigan that is FREAKING CUTE! with pockets!! do you think it would be alright for me to go buy it? okay then, i'll just stop there after work. oh and speaking of work, i got a bonus the other day. which will pay for sweater and other x-mas gifts to other people. so there. i just answered my own question.

this blog needs more pictures. here, look that this:

Picture-044.jpg

don't be distracted by the mess, just look at the regal miss bibby-doo in the mirror. she's barking at birds out the window.

i got a salad spinner last night.

are you watching LHotP right now? nellie olson is trying to get some hog farmin' boy to be her boyfriend. i mean, he doesn't even wear shoes!! what is she thinking?
this show is gay.

yesterday i went shopping about 8 different times.
i went to FM THREE times. first in the morning to get breakfast items and deposite checks, then in the evening with corey for food shopping, and then in the even later evening to buy a gift for a gammie.
so add in between the FM visits a trip to ross, target, PCC, mudd bay, and the bon.
i won't go into details except for this: NEW SALAD SPINNER. now i can finally eat salad! because it will be spinned!!!

the hog farm boy just bought a ring for nellie's b-day. he used the money he was saving for a rifle. this boy is so stupid.

okay, well, yeah, so, i'm warshing some clothes right now and then i need to wrap the rest of stuff for corey's fam and send it away.
i also need to finish getting dressed.
enough time wasting.

love,
ralison

p.s. the hog farm boy's dad just asked miss beatle to be his wife. HELLO!?!? she's saying no. wait... maybe it's a yes. i'm not sure. this will probably be a "to be continued". he told her to take her time. hog boy just said "looks like paw's fixin' to marry again!!" NOOOOOOO!! HOG BOY JUST ASKED NELLIE TO MARRY HIM! she's saying no. she's not old enough. and she doesn't know how to be a wife. okay, i need to stop watching this show. oh wait, shit, nellie said yes. what is she, like, twelve? besides, i already know that she's not really going to marry him because i've seen the other show where she gets married for reals and gets preggers.

**UPDATE: nellie and hog's are getting married. it seems to be the middle of the night because the guy who is marrying them is wearing a night cap. and NOW THEY ARE MAKING OUT. she said "now what" and hog says "i guess we gotta get a room." puke.

UPDATE2: mrs olsen just stopped by thejustice of the peace to ask if they got married. he said "yes, they are married for better, or most likely for worse" haha! and now, OHMIGOD! NELLIE CAME OUT WEARING SOME KIND OF HAIR CAP WITH HAIR TIES AND HOG IS IN HIS LONG UNDERWEAR AND THEY ARE GONNA DO IT. wait!! the olsen parents are here! they have a rifle!! hog and nellie ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE SEX!

December 16, 2005

decloging the b-tub drain.

so, i have to go to this thingy tonight. a gathering of sorts... some might call it a "party", i just call it "stressful thing to go to and stress out about". it starts at 6 and i'm really weird about being on time to things. like: family things i want to be on time to. this: i do not want to be on time to. i kinda don't want to go. but i kinda want to. ugh. i don't know.

i went to markettime and bought some drain clog-be-gone because i'm tired of taking showers in ankle high water. it defeats the whole purpose of taking a shower. the standing in dirty water part. which is funny because the other day me and corey were at pcccc and we saw this foot scrubber thing that you suction to the bottom of the tub and the rub your feet on. he thought it was "interesting" and i asked if he washed his feet. and he said "NO" because he figured they were getting clean anyway. i always wash my feets first thing. just cuz. but not when the tub ain't be drainin'. then i just don't wash them. in fact, this morning after i finished taking a shower-dirtybath i rinsed my feets off in the sink.

oh, i just thought of something: one of the reasons i sort of want to go to this thing tonight is because there will be food. i don't want to cook and i don't want to go in the kitchen because there are dirrrrrty dishies in there. i'm giving myself until tomorrow to clean them.
tomorrow i also want to:
- bleach of bunch of towels
- warsh sheets

eatin cheese

ifn's you don't mind, i'm going to sit here and eat a babybel cheese while i blog about the nothings that happened today.

after i got home from work i decided that it was a good idea for a nap because i haven't had an afternoon nap for a while and because it would be a really good way to avoid doing the dishes. well, turns out that ms. biddy doo wanted none of that. she tried opening the closet for about 10 minutes and never got it to open wide enough for her fat butt. so i helped her thinking she would shut up. then she wanted to jump on all the clothes. i said no and made her come out. then she wanted to get under the flat sheet on the bed. i said no to that too. it was awful. so i got up.

i talked to corey a little while ago and after he has drinks for work we are going to meet in fremont and eat dinner AND go x-mas shopping for his family. x-mas shopping for them consists of going to pccccc and buying a bunch of expensive food that they don't have in michigan and stuffing it in a box. they seem to love it. and i like shopping. so everyones happy.

December 14, 2005

well, toots.

i went shopping with my mom today. in mall-derwood. it is a tradition that we have to go jammie pants (and tops) shopping for the other people in the family. (scooter, cat, and corey). so we went to old navy and i wasn't very impressed with their jammie pant bottoms (pants bottoms is redundant, but whatevs.) mostly for girls they had colored sweatpants and fleece stuff. a few flannel deals. for boys they had nothing. except for some really gross fleece things with pockets. they looked like something an old man would wear. or my brother. (don't worry scoots, you're getting something else)
then we traveled to the real mall area and mom wanted to eat at claim jumpers. if you've never eaten at claim jumpers the best way to describe it is "where the fat people eat". not that i saw any fat people there. mostly everyone was regular sized. but the plates they give you are the size of a keyboard. no, TWO KEYBOARDS! . so, anyhoo, i knew i didn't want to eat a lot so i ordered soup. mom ordered a half order of chicken fried steak and buscuits WITH gravy AND potatoes. my soup was okay but her chicken fried thingy was greasy and gross. oh, and the other thing about claim jumpers: anything and every thing is on the menu. spaghetti, "thai noodles", fish, breakfast, hamburgers, pizza, pasta, sandwhichs.. whatever!! everything!! when we walked out my mom pointed to the case of deserts which were huge and looked like plastic.
then we went to the mall i might have bought some prezzies for people and i might not have. you'll never know. after that we went to marshalls and then it was late and we went home.
sex'y'city will be on in a few minutes.
here's a question for anyone who has seen most of the sex'y'city series: what happened with carrie and aidan? they are not engaged any longer and she is buying her apartment. ??? i missed whatever show was the last (of first) of whatever season that was. (it must have been on friday because we were out at the movies. and saturday and sundays are "ru-run" episodes) so on monday they showed carrie with a new short hairdoo and she works at vogue. i need to know what happened. please email me with details. if you don't know my email then go to hell. i mean leave a comment.
love,
alison

meatloaf night!

there's a meat loaf cooking in the oven the size of a football. it smells really good and i'm really hungry for it, but when i went to the store earlier to pick up some garlic i also got a juice for myself. then i drank the juice and now i feel sick. full and bloated. or something.

tonight after we over-indulge on a meaty and potatoe-y dinnster we are going to go digi-cam browsing. i'm excited because although we will probably get a camera that we'll both use, it is going to be my x-mas present. my camera now is a canon powershot A60 which has been acting cranky a lot lately. the reason i wanted that camera was because corey's mom had one similar and i really liked that it was easy to use and comfortable to hold and so on and so forth. but now i have sort of out grown it (that and it's dying) so .... we'll seeeee....

new deodorant.

here is a picture of the house i lived in in iowa city. i don't really remember the tree being there but i'm sure this picture was taken after i moved out. so the tree was probably there. on second thought i sort of remember it being there. if you click on the picture you will notice that the house has been added onto twice, one brick part that juts out and behind that a section with "siding". the brick park is the smallest bedroom ever, which was mine for part of the time, the "siding" part was where the bathroom was. the front window on the (your)right is the living room which was rarely used when i lived there. it was a good size but i only used it a few times when i had people over. a shame. the room on (your) left is another bedroom which was mine when i first moved in. it had two big closets. you'll notice a tiny window which is probably the attic, though i'm not sure. there is also a third bedroom which was an add-on and a kitchen that were on the left side and back of the house respectivly. the picture makes this house look pretty well maintained (for being built in the 1860's if i remember correctly), and for the most part it was, but there were some dumpy parts that i remember. oh, when i lived there the rent was not $1,300. it was $800 for three peeps which was a deal of a deal if i may say so.
anyway, it was a really cute house, and i had a lot of fun living there.

some how i got off track without ever actually being on-track.
so yes, i went to whole foods today. i think i went there to browse the soaps and stuff and to look at bee house tea pots. the one i really liked only came in "medium" size and i'm not sure if i really want to get one. it would be a gift for someone and i'm not sure if that person likes tea as much as he used to. ?!?!? but they are really beautiful. so we'll see. i also checked out some neti pots (duders, definatly check out that link. there are some awesomely wierd neti pots) whole foods had some very hip and stylish neti pots in fun times colors without handles. i want to try one badly and i hope someone gets me one for x-mas. unfortunatly i cannot find a link with a good looking neti pot.
okay, to continue with my story... i ended up buying some weleda salt toothpaste and kissmyface deodorant. if you know me at all then you know my relationship with deodorant. which is: i really don't like it and i'd rather smell like my own b.o. than have deodorant crustys on my clothing. but this stuff i found smells okay and i'll let you know how it works out.

the end.

rip off!!

last nights antm did not suprise me. because the person i want to win never wins. nicole was annoying in every way. her voice, her words, her stupid smile, her tiny turned up nose. if she kept her mouth shut then yeah, she's a model, but you know, now that she's america's NEXT TOP MODEL! we are going to have to listen to her talk. about make-up or "her life as a cover girl".
nik should have won because she's prettier, wears cool glasses, isn't annoying. and her hair is big. i love big hair. but, winning the title of ANTM is pretty much a death sentence and i'm sure that nik can get more long term work now. oh, and why did they show eva and naima on the runway? BOR-ING!! eva is a trillion times more annoying than i remember and so is naima(who i always thought was annoying because she was so boring.)
anyway, i can't believe it's all over. now what am i going to watch on wednesdays?

it's early morning and i'm still sort of tired

hello boofies, whats up? i told corey that from now on he needs to wake me up when he gets up instead of letting me sleep in a little because i'm usually awake then anyway. so he got me up today and requested i fix him a cream cheese bagle with ham on it. i said "okay". then i opened the fridgie and remembered that the cream cheese is "honey nut" flavor. so i said "but!! it's honey nut flavor" and he said "i know." and i said "but!! the ham?!" and he said "I KNOW." so i spread the cream cheese on and placed the ham on the side. i'm not going to be responsable for a wasted cream cheese bagle because of something like ham ruining the taste.

OH!! he just ate it. i said "how is it?" and he said "it's good!"
well, let us just leave it at that. lets.

yesterday was coreys birthday. we went to dinner at chiso and it was all very good but i'm thinking i still have a crush on sam's sushi. because of the deepfried creamcheese things. last night i couldn't sleep because i was thinking about sushi and what-have-you.
so after eating and drinking lots we went to the music store and bought two bargin bin cd's white stripes de stijl (rubber banded with a cd single of 'walking with ghost! yesss!!) and modest mouse the moon & antarctica.

i sewed a really cute pouch last night but i think i'll have to keep it for myself because i like it. and because the bobbin tension was all boofed up for a while and didn't sew some parts properly.

here is a list of songs that were my favorites at one time and still pretty much are, i just haven't listened to them in a long long time.

-joni mitchell "california"
-fiona apple "paper bag"
-eurythimics "thorn in my side"
-eurythimics "when tomorrow comes"
-oingo boingo "little girls"
-madness "victoria gardens"
-air "caramel prisoner:
-shonen knife "brown mushrooms" and all the other songs on rock animals
-sugarcubes "hit"
-ll cool j "i'm bad" (note: i had never heard this before a few days ago. it's from corey's collection.)
-kool moe dee "go see the doctor" (also from corey's stuff and also really, very good)
-white stripes "you're pretty good looking for a girl"

oh, and how the butt do i make bullets on this piece? i tried something yesterday on the laptop but it resulted in going back one page. lame. i haven't tried it on the real computer though.

goodbye boofies!

reallly dumb and stupid

i just went to the store to get
- laundry detergent
- cat litter
- misc. lunch food items

and came home with
-fabric softener
-cat littler
- misc. lunch food items

i picked up what i thought was laundry soap thinking it was just a miniture bottle (so cute!!) and then when i got home to do laundry i was about to pour it in when i thought "well, this cap sure is small. i wonder if this stuff is super concentrated or something??? maybe i should look?" and then i looked and it says "NATURAL FABRIC SOFTENER!!!" on the front. what a big fat butt.
this stuff smells pretty good for being "natural" but i don't use fabric softener and i'm not about to change my laundry routine to start using it.

butts.

B. UTTS!!

my mom just emailed me to ask if i want an electric tea kettle or sheet set for x-mas. i'm all for practical gifts but i really don't know if i can answer that question right now.

in-m-ville

i'm in marysville right now. i planned on only staying until about 10:30 but when i went outside my windows were all frozen and there was black ice on the ground. so i guess i'll stay here tonight and hang out with kitties.

the discovery channel has something on about "humanimals" or some other nonsense.

i got two butt loads of sewing done tonight. and i got new batteries for the camera so i'll totally be making etsy my bitch t-morrow!!

a commercial just came on with a woman saying "do you ever think you have worms?" it was a computer virus commercial, but MAN, we need to get cable!!! worms?!!?

well, my back hurts from doing its job poorly so i'm going to move the tv watching into the other room.
