some things that i forgot to say
first and foremost, i forgot to mention that because of the mattress and pillow allergy covers we bought over the weekend our bed now feels like sleeping in a giant diaper. or a hospital bed. the covers we bought were not plastic pee covers but something in between cotton and vinyl but it's just not cuttin' it. ya know?
dia-pers. gross.
hey, remember when we had that one earthquake? the nisqually? REMEMBER? okay let me remind you. we were in highschool still. senior year. ring a bell? okay i'll keep going. we were in 4th period CWP with mr. caldwell. out in those awful portable buildings. remember? it was like "portable city" out there. so we were in CWP and we were doing some kind of group project thing where everyone switches seats and sits somewhere else with a group of people to work on something. for some reason everyone needed to stand up to do the assignment. (btw, having 25 kids walking around a portable is its own little earthquake.) and (oh yeah, btw again, the fattest/most popular kid in the school was also in the class. NOW do you remember?) so anyway everyone is standing up and the room starts to shake and everyone just stood there. nobody got under any desks. they just stood still. then everyone filed outside to sit in that back football field. for like 4 hours or something. i think i had my lunch in my bag which happened to be ham and swiss on marble rye. i could be wrong though. i don't remember what happened after that except that after a while they let us go inside and finish the day like nothing happened.
check out some pictures. looking at these seems so weird because i don't remember having much damage in m-ville. at home or at school. it's also weird to think of it as "no big deal". because you know, if had lasted any longer or was any stronger it would have been much worse. kinda scary.
on that note, i will go start my chores and maybe do some sewing simultaneously.

a few updates in case you were wondering.
kitty: since the kitty operation she has turned into the neediest cat EVER. she will sit in front of you and meow until you get up and do something about it. but most of the time there is nothing you can do about it, you have to whine back at her. she has been sleeping on my head a night, and instead of only doing it to make me happy (sits there for 5 minutes until i fall asleep then leaves) she stays in the same spot for 4 hours and i can't really move my head or body while sleeping. then i wake up and have to nudge her two or three times and she sits up and i roll over. then she gets situated and everything is good for a few more hours.
car smell: it's not me or my B.O. this is how i know: sunday we went out and bought a dehumidifier(exciting!! more on that later though) i sat in the passanger side seat while we were in the car and when we got home i was sitting down and the cat starting smelling the pants i was wearing. first she was just sniffing and then she started doing the sniff combined with the open mouth breathing. like she was smelling something so serious that she couldn't take it any more and opened her mouth to finish breathing. so i smelled my pants (which had been washed and dried only hours earlier) and they smelled!! like B.O.!!! B.O. that also smelled like mildew! so anyway, i think something must have spilled and then never dried and now it's all gross. and smelly. barf dude!
weekend: we bought a dehumidifier and matyress/pillow covers to keep the dust mites in (or out. or both) we finished watching the first season of six feet under. we cleaned and vacuumed a lot.
sewing: i bought a ton of fabric the other weekend to make tote bags with and i've been distracted with all of this headband making. someday soon i will get over it. i'm sure i will. because i want to make a tote bag for myself. it's almost spring time. i need something FRESH!

not a craft blog, A CAT BLOG!
so yeah, the other day i got in my car and was nearly knocked out by the over powering stench of B.O. my first thoughts were 'wow. what is that smell? it like a 14 year old boy fanning his armpit in my face' and 'oh christ. i reallly hope this isn't my B.O.!!' i thought about it for about 2 minutes before remembering that the day before i had exercised pretty intensely and then drove to the post office without changing my stinky clothes. i mean yeah, it's possible that i smelled my car up with terrible B.O. and it's still there three days later and yeah, i've said it before (and i'll say it again) i would rather smell my own B.O. than barfingly sweet/floral/perfumed deodorant covering up my own B.O.
BUT! i have a hard time believing that the smell that is sitting in the car pentrating the seats and carpets is a smell that my own body created. i know my own B.O. and it's not that powerful.
UNLESS...is there something that my friends aren't telling me?
do i smell like a stinky boy? like panda B.O.?
i asked corey over the phone this morning if i smelled bad. he said "well, i don't think so. i probably don't notice"
what? he doesn't notice? i don't know what to do. someone tell me if i smell. if it's really as bad as the car tells me it is then i'll find deodorant and wear it. just tell me.
if you're a die-hard fan then you'll remember that i've had this problem before.
it wasn't me though. it was just some garbage. which i threw away and problem solved!

waaaaaaaaaaaah.
this morning i dropped off the kitty to be fixed.
she knew something was up when she went to her food bowl like every other morning and it was missing. she looked at us like "hey guys. so yeah, did you see my food bowl? it's gone. could you just go get a new one and fill it up? no big deal ya know. but i'm hungry. hey! guys!!! my food bowl!!!! GET IT NOW!!"
anyway, i already miss the little furbot sticking her nose in everything. wahhh!
to cope with the loneliness i ate some girlscout cookies and
sewed this headband which i cut out yesterday:
and, without having to get out of bed this morning i sold two things on etsy. HOOTS! HOLLERS!!
i've done gone ran out of packaging stuff yesterday though, so i guess i'll just be making my own envolopes today.

kitty celebrates presidents day:
sooo, guess what i did today? i took the tiniest kitty to the vet!!! yes it's true. since we don't have the paper work that says she got shots before we got her we needed to get the shots over again so we can get her fixed. i didn't go to work today so i thought 'what better way to spend a day off than going to the vet?' apparently everyone else figured it would be a good day to go too because when i got there in the morning they told me to come back later in the afternoon. so i went home and baked cookies for lunch. FOR LUNCH!!
BEHOLD:
then i put the kitty back in her box and drove back to the vet. she did really well while we waited (no crying) but when we went into the room with the vet she freaked out. she hissed at the vet and at one point climbed into the drawer with all of the needles and other stuff. while pulling the drawer out to get her she climbed behind the drawer to the cupboard below. now she was pissed and when the vet finally got her out i could see her hands bleeding. i felt awful. but that's over and now she'll go in on wednesday to get chopped.

then i got home and stuffed my face full of cookies. sometime after that i napped, discarded old magazines, cooked hamburglers for dinster, shredded old papers and packaged some stuff to be mailed tomorrow. i'm very tired. but it's only 9:30 and because of the nap earlier i will try to stay up for a while to sew something cool.

hey dude.
holy shit, it's been like four days since i've updated this piece. you're probably wondering what happened to me.
in a nutshell: v-day we went to compusa and corey bought a tablet pc for himself. happy valentines day to me!! right, so then we ate dinner at fremont classic. it was delish. wednesday, thursday, and friday were a blur. today is saturday. i'm about to head over to joannes to buy some fabbyric. we might go on a walk and eat some pho later. you know, the exact same thing we do every single weekend.

after work stuff
two things came in the mail:
1.a card from corey's grammie with money for valentine candy. $40 is a lot of v-day candy so maybe we'll get something else. at the very end of the note she wrote " i think of you every thurs. while i watch survivor." awwww. how sweet.
2.AND! a package containing earrings! i'm sure your thinking "but wait, didn't you just get an awesome pair of earrings the other day?" which is totally true, but a girl can never every have too many earrings. i'v kinda been on a trading for jewelry binge lately. but whatever, who cares. EARRINGS!! this very cool pair comes from dressform. they are also available in her shop, if you want to copy me.

hey guess what? i decided that i should start re-using the brown bag i use for my lunch. the other day we listened to this podcast about garbage and i relized that even though i am just one person, i can still make a difference. and so i will re-use one paper sack for as long as i can. yea!! i should win a prize!!
on other news, brent keeps leaving comments on this website with john mayer references and it's pissing me off.
here's a story: way back when, i spent the night at corey's house. in the morning we went to brad's apartment to eat breakfast. at one point we were all sitting in the living room watching tv and the video for "your body is a wonderland" came on and brad made some lame-ass joke "hey corey that's you!" and then corey and i looked at brad and scowled. i may or may not have been sitting on corey's lap at the time. and i guess brad meant that corey thought my body was some sort of "wonder land"? not totally sure.
my plans for this afternoon include calling greg, giong to the fabric store, sewing, eating dinner, going about my day like normal. just like it's any other day.

we went to discovery park today.
look at us standing.
i'm not sure, but i think this was the last time that we were there. it's been a long, long time.
after we finished our business at the park we went home and cleaned ourselves up so we could go get food at hatties hat. i was all pumped to eat meatloaf there since we've never been there for dinster. i was feeling cheap for some reason and the meatloaf was $11 so i decided to get a "chicken" burger which in hindsight is always a bad idea. it's never as good as you think it will be and it's usually more exspensive than a regular ham-style burger. anyway, at least the fries were good.
after that we went to the vid store and picked up the brothers grimm which corey suggested and i agreed to so that we could get out of there faster. i have a feeling the movie is going to suck balls so we'll see how it goes.
after that we went to peets and i ate a cookie and it was delish. as per always.
now we're at home and computing our lives away. blahblahbalhbalbh it's always the same and it never changes.

omg!
this morning i woke up at 8 all ready to start computing but the computer was being boofy. i told corey and at first he couldn't get it to do the computing thing that it does, but eventually he fixed whatever was wrong with it. so YEA!
anyhoo, we're supposed to go on walk at st. edwards park today but it seems that everyone went back to bed.
butts.

oh, last night we watched bubble. it was interesting.
i want a nap now like everyone else.

joss stone, rye bread, people without feet/legs/faces
am i the only one who is sick of joss stone? once upon a time i thought "oh, this girl has a nice voice" and now it's like "girl, shut up your voice!!!"
i'm tired of seeing her standing on a stage wearing a long dress and waving her hand around. and put some shoes on why don't ya? yeeesh. she bugs me.
hey, you know what makes a reallly delicious sammich? rye bread. yes!! the only thing that could be better is maybe some marble rye. i haven't seen that anywhere in a long time so i'll just stay with the regulary rye. not the kind with caraway seeds though, that stuff is nast. pumpernickle rye is the best.
last night i was driving home and saw a guy walking around without feet. yes! with OUT feet! my first thought when i saw him was "whoa, that guy seems to be shorter than he should be." and then "why is he leaning forwards like that?" then i looked away because i was driving. on second glance i noticed he was all leg.
i just rememered the time we were driving somewhere with brad and got off of 99 somewhere in belltown and saw a dude with one leg riding a bike. one leg!! on a bike!!

erm. hmm.
i'm very tired. yesterday i bussed it doon-toon and shopped till i dropped. then i made corey pay for it. yeee-ha!
i bought a pair of lucky jeans.(err.. no, corey bought them.) they kind of have this weird smell to them. sort of like "new clothes smell" only grosser. like "new clothes from ross" smell. it's strange.
anyhoo, i also got a pair of colored cords and a zippy-uppy. i should really get rid of clothes when i get home. our room is slowly being taken over by clothes. and they have migrated to the chairs in the living room. why is it so difficult to put clothes away when they are clean? i don't know.
i feel like i'm really busy these days and it's a weird feeling because i'd rather not feel busy. sitting on the couch and watching TV is stress relieving when it should really be "the usual". you know?
oh, and also, it seems impossible to return the videos to the store on-time. always. i don't know why.
eeeerm. i haven't been able to try sewing on my new machine yet. i need to get organizeddddddddddd!
i think i forgot to say "fucking hell! it's already february!!" at the beggining of the month. so, there it is. i want to make some valentine cards.
i might go to san diego with corey the second week of march. i have never been to california and the only thing i think of when i hear "san diego" is "zoo". so you know, it's not the first place i think of going on mini-vacation. but we'll see. i need to find some one to kitten sit the baby though.

i can't believe i've gone with out volumnizing spray for so long
i bought this spray stuff the other day. my hair can be curly sometimes, and other times it loses the curl and goes flat. sometimes it makes a "pffffffffffftt" noise when it happens and i hate it. this SPRAY!! is the best thing i have ever used! i recommend it. go buy it today!
hrrm. today after work i'm hopping on the bus downtown to go shoppping. i heart shopping.

i got paid today. well, i assume that i got paid today, though i haven't checked the 'ol banky account yet. either way, it's been a long time coming.
here's how i plan to spend all of my money before the weekend even starts:
first: go to market time and get a breakfast munchie and lunch munchie.
second: after work stop by the fabric store. buy stuff.
third: go out to dinner seeing as i don't usually like cooking on the days i get paid. why save money when i could spend money right?
fourth: go to the gap and buy jeans.
now i hafta go get ready.
