a question

say you were going to take a math class in the summer.
there are two times to choose to take the class:
8 - 9:30 am four days a week
5:30 - 8:30 pm two days a week

8-9:30 seems okay because i'm usually up at that time anyway, but i'm usually bummin about in jammies. ya know? it'd be differnt having to get up EXTRA early and be ready and have a clear brain ready for learnin' it up. three hours of ALL MATH ALL THE TIME sounds delightful though doesn't it????????????

KIDDING!!

May 29, 2006

yesterday i drank prune juice for the first time. it was delicious.

two complaints for today.
1. there's this girl who used to live in the apartment across from us with a dude but moved out at least two years ago. now she's back waltzing her skanky ass self around upstairs and sleeping with the dude who lived above her. GROSS, WHAT A BITCH. so anyway, she keeps parking her stupid suburubacube in front about two feet away from the stop sign that says "no parking within 30 feet" or whatever. i guess since everone else obeys the law and leaves 30 feet of space she thinks it makes it her personal space. i don't really know why i care. i don't park out front. i have my own spot. but she's gross and scragglier than she was when she used to live here.
2. there's this hipster hippie dude who works at a magazine store that we like to frequent. he's got tangly greasy hair and a stupid look on his fave. he also has one long yellow pinky finger nail. ::shudder::
it's fair to say that i hate him. he's an idiot and i can't believe someone hired him to do a job there. today i went in there to buy a paper. so i go to the counter and hold the paper for him to see and he looks at me, then the paper, then at me, then the paper, then at me....so i say "what??" and he stares blankly at me again and says "is that all?" and i say "yeah" and he says "one dollar" .
maybe you had to be there to witness the transaction. but seriously, it took about 5 minutes longer than it needed too.
it bothers me that i'm bothered by it though.

this weekend we traveled to m-ville for my dad's birthday. i bought him neko case blacklisted and the black keys thickfreakness.
i bought blacklisted and fox confessor brings the flood the other day on itunes and they are both totally great.

today i worked on sewing related things, napped, ate a hotdog, drank coffee, went to the bathroom, and picked up the handrash cream that i forgot in brads car the other day...not all in that order.

oh, last night i watched high tension and it's pretty good as far as horror movies go. we watched war of the worlds with the fam and my god, dakota fanning is the most annoying child actor ever. oh no, imdb says that she's going to be fern in charlottes web. god help us.
her bio says

Her favourite films include Gone with the Wind (1939), Titanic (1997) and Steel Magnolias (1989).

puke!

anyhoo. i updated my etsy shop with a few things so if you feel like browsing go check it out.
my favorite right now is this bag.

i opened the comments again so feel free to bomb away with spam...

BEHOLD!!

perfect potato shoes:
IMG_1209
so i went shopping with eva today. a while ago i was thinking to myself that i would never find my perfect potato shoes. then, today while browsing the shoe isle at ross i spotted them. IN A SIZE 8. in other words: a size and a half smaller than my normal shoe size. i tried them on anyway and they sort of fit so i looked around for another pair. when i first saw them i thought "these don't belong here. in this store." i couldn't find another pair so i bought the size 8. i figure lots of people wear uncomfortable shoes because they're CUTE and for only $10 i could be one of those people. AYAYAYAYAYA!!

this afternoon i drove over to cap. hill to take a placement test at sccc. i had to take the test so that someone somewhere could have a record of how terrible i am at math and so that i can sign up for a summer sewing class. maybe the sewing class will turn into more in the future.

wooop.

shoes, cute

coraldieselshoes.jpg
i like these diesel shoes. the color combo reminds me of this house we walk by sometimes. its kind of a celery green with red/orange trim. i like that these shoes have the same colors but in a very low dose. i usually don't really like diesel brand shoes, but i think i can make an exception here.

jellies, spokane, antm, smarties, tetris

will someone explain to me why jellies are back?
the shoe page on urbanoutfitters.com says "we heart jellies"
whaaa? last week i was at the gap and they had some jellies displayed on a table with t-shirts. some girl was browsing through shirts and was all "ohhh jellies. i kinda want to get a pair just to make fun of myself" what? you know what, fuck you. irony as a fashion statement is the worst thing ever invented. (um brent, i'm looking in your direction....................) i saw some girl with her boyfriend standing on the corner somewhere in greenwood yesterday. she had cowboy boots and highwaisted jeans on. also: a tight shirt and FEATHERED HAIR. okay, maybe feathered hair isn't as bad as the moderen mullets going around these days (side bar: mordern mullets are soooooooo two years ago!) but still.
i had jellies once. in 6th or 7th grade. i'm thinking it was 7th because i can remember the other awful pair of payless sandles i had in 6th grade. so: jellies, me, 7th grade. hm. i think wore them twice. they were clear and kinda blended in with the color of my white legs and feet. jellies are the worst. the only person who should ever wear jellies is The Dude.

i'm going to spokane this weekend with momella. we will be gardening and probably taking my g-ma to the hair salon at jc penny's. dear god. don't be surprised if i end up having to reorganize the canned food cupboard becasue thats what i did 2 years ago when i was there and i'm sure it's all jumbled up by now.
wish me luck. i'll be taking a hat to wear outside so i don't get cancer.

yay, to danielle!
speaking of top model, the other day at the mag store i think i saw nik on the cover of metro.pop.
though, i'm not positive because i couldn't find any other pictures of her in the magazine and the cover of that issue isn't on the website. so you'll just have to go find the magazine yourself and have a look.

now it's time to eat smarties and play tetris.

yes!!! my FM rewards rebates are here!

soooo, whats with this weather? am i going to have to get the fan out? because i know if if i get the fan out marmadoo is going to think its some kind of play toy. and then we'll have to put the fan back in the storage space and suffer through the "heat wave".
seriously though, the weather was pretty nice today and since i worked until 5 i missed the worst of it (the worst being when i get sunburned from being outside for 5 seconds)
after i got home i walked down to fremont to meet corey. first i stopped at the bathing suit store to ask if they had any fleep-floops.
they had two pairs of hideous orange flowerdy things and this other hideous pair.
i said "no way, man" and left.
we ate at our new favorite restaurant kaosamai.
after that we stopped at the mag store for mags and ice cream.
now i'm at home trying to work on sewing related things but marmadoo and corey keep distracting me. now the internets is distracting.
here, be distracted with me:

hair cut.

guess who ate her breffix too fast and then barfed it up all over the carpet yesterday? here's a hint: it wasn't me. and there's only one other lady in this house. thankfully, corey was home when it happened so he got to be the one to clean it up. yay!!

i got a hair cut today:
IMG_0819.jpg

it's really short and really straight. i'm excited. before i went i knew that i would tell the hair lady that i wanted something shorter for spring. but i guess i expected her to cut it longer than what i asked for. but she didn't and i'm glad because i walked out of the salon with something totally different and unexpected. i'm a little nervous to make it curly because it's so short. but i think it will be cute. now i need to go invest in a more powerful hair dryer for when i want to straighten it. a $20 target hair dryer just isn't cutting it anymore. i wish you could reach through the computer and feel how soft my hair is. on second thought, that is creepy and weird. but seriously guys, my hair feels like someone elses.

boof, i've been really busy procrastinating and need to stop. i promise i'll start my things that i need to do tomorrow...night....saturday morning.....................
this website says that i need to do my unpleasant tasks first.
interesting. it also suggests that maybe i am losing interest in the task at hand and that is why i'm putting it off...true, very true.. but i should reward myself for completing a project. perhaps with a lunch out.
these are all good things to think about... while waiting for ER to come on. dooot doot doot.

late night

did you know that the rice cakes they sell nowadays taste almost like candy?! it's true. today i went shopping and picked up some "caramel corn" flavored rice cakes. the package says they are good for you but i don't know. they taste too good!!

this afternoon my mom called to tell me that someone stole one of their eight million bikes from the back yard. it bothers me to think of someone being in the backyard. in the backyard stealing. that's disgusting. not to mention that the bikes they have aren't the coolest/most comfortable bikes to ride. but whatever.
then my mom told me that she found a baby possum in the garage. she first noticed something was up when one of the kitty's really excited and wanted in to the garage. my mom heard noises in there so she went in and found model airplane boxes on the floor. so she picked them up and then went back inside. i think she heard more noises or something because she went back into the garage and saw that more airplane boxes were on the ground and there was a baby poop on the floor! cute!! or not. so, just as she was going back inside she saw the baby possum on top of the water heater. the baby was scared. my mom called my dad and didn't like his advice to leave the garage door open all night, so she called my gramma. grammmy said to get a broom and some how broom it out. my mom got the broom and put it near the baby and the baby "slilent screamed" and hopped on the broom. then my mom carried the possum out to the drive way and said "go find your mother" or something that i'm sure sure the baby didn't understand.

i just ate a delicious snack of cookies and milk. i think i'm ready for bed now. marmadoo is wondering why she isn't allowed to have a late night snack and i feel bad for being "mean" and not feeding her. my god, i am such a push over.

doot doot doooo

yes!!!!!!!!!! seventh heaven is over!!
it' scares me to think that lucy, mary AND (yes! and!) matt's "wife" are all preggers with twins. ohhhhhhh, sure. i believe that.

i just added a new pouch clutch to the shopppe. i have more things to add but i think i'll hold off for tonight because it seems that lots of people are listing things.
sort of a sneak peak:
new stuff and old stuff.

i re-photographed some things that needed had been up a while or looked boring in the current pictures. i'm pleased with how they came out. i'm also pleased that my old camera is still hanging on and continues to take decent pics.

i'm going to go make a grilled ham and laughing cow cheese sammy for dinner and watch gilmore girls while eating it. dear god, please send logan far, far away forEVER!

oh, p.s. i disabled the comments (or something) because i was starting to get comment spam. lame!!

May 05, 2006

last night i ate a cupcake with lavender flavored frosting. it was de-lish.

we put kitty on a diet. we've noticed over the past few weeks that she's hungry all the time and her little belly is gettin jiggly.
before she got fixed i fed her in the morning and then later if her bowl was empty. if it wasn't empty then i just waited until it was empty and she "asked" for more food.
i can't pin point when it started, but it seems like now she's always begging for bonito treats (crack for kitties!!) or sitting on her food table staring at her empty bowl. it's kind of heart breaking. because she'll sit there for like 15 minutes just looking at the bowl and meowing if you look at her.
last night corey started calling her 'tape worm' even though i don't think she has tape worms because her poops look normal. i guess it's still possible that she has something inside her eating all her food. but she still poops a lot. this morning he was singing the johnny cash song "tennessee stud" with the words "tennessee tape worm" to her.

today is totally a drink margaritas on a porch kinda day. too bad we don't have a porch.

did anyone else almost have a panic attach when danielle got sick on ANTM? she is my top favorite, joanie is second. i will die and go to heaven if either of them win. i will shit in a bag and mail it to UPN if jade doesn't die or get kicked off by next episode. i'm serious. she's so awful.

it's wednesday!

so, today is wednesday and hopefully i will get to pick up my sewing machine, for the second time. i went and got in on saturday and it sewed great for a while and then it started boofing up again. i called and explained and they had me bring it in to check it out. i was hoping it would be something fixable in the store but it wasn't. the new problem (bobbin casing popped out) was unrelated to the first problem (foot pedal died).

soooooooooooooooo, sunday i drove to m-ville to sew some stuff and i didn't get a lot done. i came home and worked on my other machine and made minor adjustments that made it sew less crappy. i'm getting used to it but it does things that i think are weird and stupid BUT OH WELL IT'S A SEWING MACHINE.

anyway, i updated the shop with a couple of things and you should check it out.

eeep. it's getting late and i need to stop dilly dallying.

EW GROSS.

(7th heaven related)
ruthy is telling everyone about her cramps.
lucy just told her husband "did i ever tell you about when i started my period?"
then revcam asked ruthy if she needs anything.
"tampons" she says.
"regular, big box, unscented"... he knows her exact tampon recipe. he'll put it on his list for the store.

barf barf barf barf barf.
