piles of crap!!!

here's what i'm avoiding now and have been avoiding since last week.

i thought that after i moved my table out i would be able to put all the boxes and bags back in there in some kind of organized way and still be able to get some stuff done. well, i was wrong. hopefully i can go to ikea with my mom the weekend after next. HOPEFULLY.
it's hard to go in there with all that garbage in there because it's transfering over into my brain and my head is very "cluttered" and disorganized.

the plus side of getting rid of all that extra furniture is that the living room is less messy (yea!!) we need to find a real file cabinet and put all the cd's away and then it will much better still.

my hands are dry and cracked and i just put lotion on them and now they hurt BADDDDDDDDD.

is gilmore girls old or new? corey says it's old but i swear the commercial said it was new. this is lame!!

merfle

this morning i walked to work and it was amazing and cold out. we are having the weirdest fall. like a "real" fall with clear days as opposed to the normal wet and not colorful falls that it seems like we usualy have. or something.

last night we walked down to fremont and stopped at the magazine store. there was a sign saying they're closing in november. whaaaa?! closing? but you're my favorite store!! i feel terrible now, especially since i have been trying to buy less magazines lately. to make up for it i bought an issuse of craft magazine. i did my part.

tonight after dinner i went to trader joe's and bought some "snap pea" things that taste like pea flavored cheetos. they are so weird and good. the bag says you should put it on your salad or something. we (corey) ate the whole bag though.

marf.

did anyone else forget to remember about the daylight saving thingy? i did and i woke up at 9:00 but it was really 8:00. for about two seconds i thought "sweet! i'm up early on a sunday! i can seize the day!!" but it's 11 now and i just barely got dressed.

last night i went to a party at t-bone's house. carolyn and shaun picked me up. the party was good.

we need to buy a filing cabinet. i want to go to the boeing surplus store to look but corey doesn't want to drive that far today. i don't really either so i might go to a few thrift stores and see if i can find anything.

this leaf was outside on the ground this morning.

day dreamin.

last night i drove to maryville and traded cars with my mom so i could use their SUV thing to move the giagantic table in my sewing area. so when i get home i'm going to load up all 6 chairs and drive it over to the goodwill and then when corey gets home we'll move the table. the table is fucking heavy and i'm not looking forward to moving it down the stairs, but i am looking forward to cleaning up and organizing my sewing stuff. i've got an idea to change the whole room around and picked out what i need to do that from the ikea catalog. i've estimated that it will cost LESS than $200 and i'm really excitied about it. i'm gonna run it by corey first and see what he thinks. he better like it because i'm gonna do it either way.

i got my moo cards yesterday and i'm kinda feeling "meh" about them.
i got my flickr icon on the back and it looks terrible. i'm regreting getting that on there. i think the cards are OK and i will probably order more, but i'll pick different picture next time.
i'll post picture later after i get home.

i can picture my dream sewing room in my mind and if i can't have it exactly like i want i think i might cry. it's so perfect in my brain that i can't image it not working and being the most awesome and organized room while also taking up less space than before. there will be lots of storage for fabrics. and notions. right now i have piles of fabric everywhere and it sucks.

it's friday

guys. i was totally craving sweet stuff earlier tonight. but we're mostly out of food, especially anything that qualifies as "snacky" or "sweet" or what have you. there was one thingy of 'nilla yogurt in the fridge and i thought "hm. you know what would go well with yogurt? GRANOLA. peanut butter granola!!"
so i made the granola and ate it with the yogurt and it was fucking delicious.

i don't know what we're going to do tomorrow. i kinda wanted to see this bodies thing. i keep seeing billboards all over the place for it. the only thing is...it cost $25 per person! isn't that kind of a rip? i think so. we'll see.
awwwwwww, maybe instead we'll go to the frye which is FREE and is having a henry darger thingy going on.
i will alert corey to this fact first thing tomorrow.

i'm gonna go check out whats on tv.

new skillet.

today i drove out to the kmart looking for cute martha stewart dishtowels. a few weekends ago i was in m-ville and bought some towels that were SUPER cute and made a little dish towel apron for carolyn's b-day. i wanted to get some more for myself and because it seems like they might make cute pouches or you know, whatever.
they didn't really have anything good except for one that i will post a picture of later, after i make something out of it.

after kmarting it up i drove over to ross and bought a new skillet fry pan thingy. YESSSSSSSSS! it's nice and heavy and only cost $14. old one's going in the give away pile. i love getting new kitchen related things. especially from ross because they always (most of the time) have something buried that is totally freaking cute, like teeny tiny colanders and stuff like that.

okay. is gray's anatomy over yet? i'm not turning the tv on unless that show is OVER WITH. you guys, it seems like every lady on TV is pathetic and a sorry excuse for a woman. for example: lorelai is back with chris? pu-lease. i'mjust about done with this show. what did it used to be about before she was alwasy getting married/not getting married to , like, 10 different dudes? i don't remember.
and meredith on grays anatomy. PUKE!! love me!! choose me!!!

brefffix time.

i ordered some moo cards the other day and got an email saying that they have been shipped. YEA.

yesterday i went to the goodwill looking for whatever i could find. i'm really in the mood for "spending" even though i have not much money to spend. i walked around the whole store and then left because i couldn't find anything good enough to buy.
after that i went home and tried to take a nap only to wake up an hour or so later feeling like the nap had never even happened.
so i got up and drank some coke and that perked me right up.

it would be nice to do something fun this weekend, like going to the pumpkin farm or corn maze or something. anything!! jeeze. i would also be nice if the weather was decent too.

gotta go make my lunch sammy!!

instead of tooling around online i should try and sew something. i made a pouch yesterday but it's red with blue stitching and red always looks like ass in pictures so i haven't bothered listing it.

i've craving candy right now. maybe i'll make a piece of cinnamon toast.

cold feets.

yeeesh. i think it's time to turn the heat on in this piece. my toes are cold and the socks i'm wearing provide no warmth whats-so-ever.

i wonder what we're going to eat for dinner tonight. i have yet to wash the dishes and clean the kitchen. we don't really have any dinner food. i wouldn't be opposed to going out somewhere but we're trying to be on a budget. oooh! maybe we can eat pho. perfect for a cool fall night AND budget friendly.

oh, another thing: for anyone who shops at trader joes, run (don't walk) to the nearest store and pick up some thai lime and chili cashews. they are effing delish and you will love them.

almost bed time

i just realized that it's the cat's birthday!! or rather, a few days ago was the cat's birthday (!!!!!) if i remember correctly, the night when it was her real birthday she kept waking me up in the middle of the night. she must have been trying to tell me "hey!! wake up!!! where's my prezzzies?!!?"

anyway.
this weekend is carolyns birthday. if anyone is in marysville or in the surrounding area ( including as far north as bellingham and as far south as portland (dee?!)) i expect you to be at her house sometime in the evening with a giant bottle of booze. she said the pool is green and wouldn't recommend swimming in it but you should probably just bring your swimmy suit anyway. who knows, someone might bust out the sprinkler. consider this your invitation.

about a half hour ago (or more) i decided it was time for bed and started to make my way across the room to shut off lights and the computer. then i got sucked in and i should really go to bed now because it don't want to wake up tomorrow and feel like an 80 year old woman.

still exhausted from sleeping.

i feel like i went to bed after running a marathon. my back aches, my legs are especially restless and i'm still "tired". i could probably go back to bed and sleep a few more hours and feel the same tired feeling.

anyhoo,
here's a pouch a made last night:

it didn't really turn out how i wanted so i think i'll keep it and make another tonight. i think the wonkability factor is good, but it would be better if it was there for a specific reason. like "this pouch is lopsided because it's acutally a duck pouch! awwwwww, cute." i think i could add some kind of beak and it would be awesome.

time to get ready for work.

p.s. this week you can finally feel the chill in the air. FAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
last night i made cottege pie (shephards pie) and (tooting my own horn here) it was DEEE-LISH. perfect for fall and a hungry corey.

cat

yesterday when i left for work the cat was sleeping in the clothes basket and when i got home she was still in there and didn't even bother to get out and greet me. BEE-YOTCHHHHHH. she's in there again this morning and i'm sure she'll spend her whole day in there. not sure what's so great about it, the clothes aren't even warm anymore!

she also has a new annoying habit of waking me up at 2 in the morning for food. actually, i'm not sure which is more annoying, getting up at 2am and knowing that i can go back to sleep for many hours or getting up at 5 am and knowing that i only have one or 2 more hours left.

it's october

saturday i drove up to m-ville really early so i could go to an estate sale with my mom. we went to the same estate sale the saturday before and we both got loads of sewing stuff so we decided to go back again. this time i got some great stuff too.

i haven't sewn anything since i got back from vacation and i haven't thought about it either. i've been sleeping 10 hours every night and it's weird. getting tired at 9pm is for lamers!! tonight i'm going to try and stay up because i have new fabrics and tons of zippers, trims and buttons that i have barely gone through. so i'll try and do that tonight.

this weekend was awesome. saturday after i did the estate sale thing with my mom i drove to lake stevens to meet kaeli to go to the mariners game. it was both boring and nice at the same time. i don't enjoy sports but if there's one that i have to watch it's probably baseball. also, safeco field has plain drip coffee (12 oz) for $3.50 which is the CHEAPEST drink there. WTF????

after the game i drove home and made dinner for corey and myself. the cat watched. later we went to the buckaroo and met up with peeps and i didn't get drunk because i ate too much dinner.

sunday we took the car to get a new tire because there was a huge bulge (hahahaha) in the back tire. it was making the car wobble at slow speeds. corey was worried so we jacked it up in the parking spot and saw the bulge-y spot. it was pretty serious and i'm glad we caught it because i would shit myself silly if a tire blew up when i was driving alone.
after dropping the car off we rode the bus downtown and went new-school-clothes shopping for corey at macy's

the month of september sucked as far as blogging goes. but it was awesome as far as "real life" goes so who cares.

all this typing is making me tired.
