free day.
i have the day off today.
all last night i planed in my head what i could do today.
-sew some stuff
-go for a walk
-eat lunch somewhere
- other stuff i can't think of now
instead i watched some videos on youtube and vacuumed a lot. i ate lunch and drank some tea. now i'm thinking about taking a nap.
i don't know, i figured that i can "sew stuff" or "go on a walk" or "eat lunch somewhere" pretty much any day (weekend) and there are not many days when i can do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
yesterday i went to the goodwill and found some really good stuff. one of the things was this old file cabinet/cupboard thing and it was metal and old but the cupboard was locked .... and we don't need anymore furniture. man, did i ever want that thing.
here's some other stuff i got.
[some mugs]

the brown one is my favorite.
[jacket]

heart buttons!!!
this was missing a few of the buttons but i found the extra's in the pocket. i asked if they would give me a deal and they gave me 20% woop!!
napper time.

christmas miracle.
so, the other day corey got home from work and said "someone took a huge dump on the back door steps."
and i was all like "wha...?"
and he was all like "uhhh. yeah."
so i walked down there and pushed the door open a little. there, sitting on the landing was a huge pile of "soft serve style" poo. HUMAN FECES.
the size of a soft ball.
on our door step.
this isn't the first time that we've seen human waste around our building. the first day we moved in, i looked out the window and saw a man peeing behind our car. and just a few months ago we walked out the door and saw a woman pulling her sweatpants up... and a pee puddle next to our car. once i saw a lady squat, in broad daylight, in the middle of the the parking lot and as soon as she finished she looked around to see if anyone saw her. then she walked into the laundry mat.
anyway, the poo pile stayed on the step over night and into the next morning. we left to go somewhere and when we returned it was gone. it looked as if someone had spatula-ed it off the ground. there is a smear stain where it once was. and a skit mark on the floor inside, where someone must of stepped in it, and slipped.
we've only been using the front door since this happened. and it totally sucks to walk around just to toss the garbage out. but whatever.

tired. and stuff.
um. i think my email might be broken. i haven't received a *real* email in like, 24 hours or something. jesus christ! somebody email me something already!! where are my friends at??
i have eaten out for the last 3 or 4 days for dinner and sometimes lunch too. today work is buying people lunch. i'm so tired of eating food that someone i don't know is cooking. i want to eat something bland. like oats and/or broccoli.
i have to make another pumpkin cheesecake for x-mas dinner. WTF?
saturday we are going to scooters for a gift exchange and i'm going to make sugar cookies. so tonight i guess i should go to the store to get all the supplies. then i can make the dough. i need to remember to buy some dish soap so that i can actually do the dishes first.
((i can't wait till the holidays are finished and everything is back to normal....stores aren't busy, no traffic...not stressed out....just work,.. school... sewing. eating. blah blah blah.))

thingz
today we went on a walk to the u-dist. and it was both really nice (not raining) and really cold. i bought some fabric and a cashmere sweater from the vintage store and then we browsed at the bookstore. there are so many books there that i want to get.
after that we ate pho and then went to the coffee shoppe and i did my x-mas cards.
it's so weird that our power never went out during the wind storm but people just a few blocks away still don't have their power restored. weird weird. just down the street i saw some powerlines dangling a few feet above a car.
meh.
anyway, the weekend was good.

fridayz.
gursh durnitt. i can't believe that december is half way over. i don't feel like i have anything to show for it.
my hands are cold. does anyone know of ways to keep hands warm besides sitting on them, sticking them up your butt, or running them under hot water?
i wonder if those little wrist warmers things help. i need something that covers my fingies. they are what gets the coldest. i think typing with gloves on would be somewhat difficult so who knows.
tonight i'm going to a work related thingy do. it might be weird and it might not be.
tomorrow we have parties to go to in the evening. and i'm sure the afternoon will waste away because we'll sleep in late and have to rush to get ready.
i'm tired. i should have taken a nap when i had time. instead i got sucked into myspace. shitt!

blaahb.
i was going to write this earlier but the internet stopped working and i figured it was because of the "storm". but then corey got home and turned the compy off and then it magically worked again. durnit. i was hoping we might have an internet-free night.
oh well.
today after work i went to the goodwill and bought............ (you better sit down for this)................
PINK velvet pants. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) i figure that i can at least wear them sometime this weekend and that will be good enough for me.
okay, so last night i had the best dream. i got a little hamster. and i took it home and was so excited that kitty would have her own "pet" to watch over.
today at work i daydreamed about a hamster running around the apartment in one of those excercise balls. kitty would go NUTS.
i drank too much wine for dinner and now i don't feel like doing anything.

j-f-c, it's only tuesday.
i got my hair cut today. i was lonnnnnnnnnnnng over due. not like my hair was looooooooooonggg, because it's still relatively short compared to what it used to be, it's just that i haven't been able to get a haircut since may or something. shiiit!
i'd show you a picture but it looks almost exactly the same as it did when i got it cut last. it's straight and stuff. which makes it seem extra weird because it's way straighter than i can get it on a good day of blow-drying and straight-ironing.
i've been crazy busy lately and it sucks. it's mostly sucks because i have a part time job which allows me to have extra free time (to tend to my etsy stuff, which one might consider a part time job also... with all the sewing, listing, mailing, thinking, talking, researching, shopping , etc.) but i still feel guilty if i complain about my regular job at all. like, if i have to work more hours than usual. no big deal yah know, i like the extra money. but then i have less time to do my etsy thing and then it takes me forever to finish things i've promised people and that bothers me. add that to the home chore stuff and cooking and doing the f-ing laundry..... bla bla blah.
anyway. the point i'm trying to make is that i'm really glad my hair is cut and i'm glad i have finished a bunch of the custom orders i was doing. but the dishes are still dirty and the clean clothes are not put away but WHATEVERRRRRRRRRRRRR.
my hair smells amazing. i wish my regular hair stuff smelled this good. i probably wouldn't have to worry about (not) wearing deodorant because it's so fragrent.

bleeblooo
i updated my etsy shop this morning.
that pencil pouch i told you about earlier. it was too late to put it in the auction thing so i put it in the shoppe. woop!

today we are going to a party thing at my brothers. i told him yesterday that i would make cupcakes. i'm thinking about doing "gingerbread" flavor. but now it's past 12 and i've been dillying the dally all morning here. i need to take a shower and then go to the store to buy ingredients AND stop by the post office. the party is at 4. sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh...

some stuff.

i sewed the cover of this little moleskine for an auction at corey's work. it fits inside this pencil pouch with room for some colored pencils, eraser, and a pencil sharpener.

so i know, night time pictures are kinda lame, these look better in person. i bought two packs of the wee moleskines and i plan on doing more stitched covers.
more pencil pouches are in the works (well, in the works inside my brain at least).
i have custom orders that i'm working on and i still haven't had time to set up the crap i got from ikea weeks ago. i want to finish all the stuff i'm in the middle of sewing before i set up anything because i know we'll have to move everthing out and it will be disorganized for a while. bbbbooooooooooooooooooooof.
i've driven corey to work almost every day this week and on the mornings that we don't get ham and cheese filled croissants from the coffee shop (yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm) i've been making steel cut oats with peanut butter. and it is soooo good and filling. it's a perfect cold morning breffix. yummmyummyuimyumyum.
i'm still really tired from sleeping last night. we need to get a new bed because i'm tired all the time. and it sucks.
now it's gettin ready time.
byeeeeeee.
