last day of may : still with child
i got up really early this morning (5:45) because i had a bad dream and couldn't go back to bed. then i went back to bed for a while and had a different dream but i don't remember if it was bad or good or whatever.
today i think we're going to ride the bus to mud bay and get a FURminator for the cat. apparently they sell them at FM, but i have only seen them at the sno-ho FM when i was visiting brent. i haven't seen them at our FM yet.
anyway. the cat has been barfing hairballs so she probably needs to be brushed and this furminator thing looks sweet. carolyn has one and she said we could borrow it, but i forgot to get it the last time we saw her.
we're probably going to stop by the greenwood liberry while we're in the neighborhood. it's sort of new-ish and looks really big.
at the other liberry i have LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE SEASON 1 on hold and i'm practically pooping my pants about it.

it's right here. i made it too keep track of neat looking things on etsy and other places. not really like my wist list because 1. the tumblr blog looks prettier and more organized and 2. i'm only posting certain things on there. like pretty things and not necessarily "practical" type things that might go on the wist list.
plus, i think tumblr is easier to use. but WHATEVER.

still completely pregs.

today when i was napping i had a dream about brownies. i took this as a sign and got up and went to the store and bought brownie making supplies. now the brownies are done, and they are good, of course, but i think they might be ever-so-slightly overcooked. the last few times i've put something in the oven and put the timer on i have this habit of setting the timer for the correct time, but then forgetting to actually set it. then i walk in the kitchen thinking "whens my burrito/brownies/thingy gonna be done?!?!" and then i see the timer still set for the time. anyway, brownies are pretty much good no matter what, unless all of the chocolate flavor is cooked out of them or they are too cakey. . . . . . .
today is brent and brian's b-day and brent said that he wouldn't mind sharing his b-day with my baby, if he happened to be born today. i doubt that will happen though.

soooooooooooooooooon!
i had my appt. with the midwife today. while we there she said "would you like me to do a membrane sweep?"
the last time we were in baby class a lady who also sees the same midwife had that done and went into labor later that night. i thought about this and was a little nervous. i mean, i want the baby out and all, but you know............ it's just weird. anyway, she checked me and said i was really close anyway, so i said "what the heck" and she swept away. we'll see if it works.
now i'm am both REALLY excited and REALLY nervous.
i don't know how to occupy myself except for making cookies or muffins or something.

wednesday
baby? where are you??
please come out soon, i'm bored with out you.
tomorrow i have an appt. with the midwife. i'd like this baby out soon.
my feets are swollen and it is annoying. i'm really preoccupied with baby things. it's hard to do anything else.
corey is working late tonight and i don't know what to eat for dinner. i would prefer not cooking, since i always have to do that.
maybe i can get food from kaosamai. i will order food for corey at the same time and he can eat it later.
great idea!
today i stayed home because my feets were too swollen. i sewed a pouch and toodled around the internet for much too long. it was very relaxing though.
i'm going to go find something non-computer related to do now. like dishes or something

what i've been up to
(besides eating a lot of ice cream)
i updated my etsy shop with a few things
like this moleskine:
there are a few other things, like pouches, and some head scarfs that are on "sale" so take a look if you are interested.
last night i sewed this rice bag to take to the hospital.
a few weekends ago i made some curtains for the bedroom.
today i went shopping with my mom. we went to babies'r'us (which gives me shivers and makes me want to barf) but i was looking for "plastic pants" for baby. i thought that being a HUGE FREAKING BABY STORE with all things baby, that they would at least have something like these bummies
or you know, one of the other ten billion trillion kinds of cloth diapers covers. but no, they only carried gerber vinyl pull on pants. so i got a pack of them, but i also plan on ordering something else too.
we also stopped at target and i got some nightgowns suitable for wearing while feeding a baby.
i'm tired now and will probably go to bed really soon.
my tummy is full of ice cream.

cool thing
i was trying to post this in my other post about going to the antique store with brent. but i couldn't figure it out because i thought it was some sort of flickr application or what not.
then i found it on someone else's blog.

it's really cool!
for mother's day i made some delicious cupcakes that ( i think) everyone like a lot.
the recipe is as follows (note: only sort of)
1 box of trader joe's vanilla cake mix (it's really good, try it!!)
- made according to cupcake directions but with the dairy ingredients replaced with non-dairy ingredients (vanilla almond milk, and earth balance)
cream cheese frosting
- made with don-dairy cream cheese (tofutti brand), earth balance, and powdered sugar. you can find a real recipe for cream cheese frosting online somewhere else, i just dumped it in a bowl and beat it until i thought it tasted right. it doesn't have to be exact. then, add the secret ingredient: MAPLE EXTRACT.
scooter said they tasted like pancakes. or maybe waffles. they were good though!
now it's time for me to do a sink and a half full of dishes. BOR-INGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

yesterdays
yesterday i didn't have to work so i drove up to snohomish to hang out with frontal. he is in town for only a few days. instead of the usual thrifting that we do we decided to go to the antiques stores in town.
there was a lot of cool stuff to be seen, but most of the stores closed at 5 so we couldn't see all of it.
i did buy some cloth napkins. i have been wanting to make some, and maybe i still will, but these were neat so i got them.
we also stopped at kmart to look for some dish towels but they were all crap. and we went to the goodwill in m-ville and i bought a lot of books for kids, including hatchet
which was one of my favorite books.

just like the beginning of every other month i can't believe it's MAY already. also, it's a month away from HAVING A BABY. what the hell? this is weird!
speaking of baby... we are almost all ready to go. last weekend we got a car seat. but it's not in the car yet. it's kind of a monster of a car seat and it requires that which ever seat it's behind be moved up to an almost uncomfortable position. we're going to try and put it in the middle and see if that works. if it doesn't...then i guess i will always be in the passenger seat and corey will always have to drive even if i pick him up. OH WELL.
i also got this sweet baby pouch sling on etsy. it's really awesome, it even has pockets on it. it is way cooler than the one at target that i sort of wanted. i can't wait to use it.
this weekend we got a lot of "hanging out" done, like walking part way to the u-district, putting a puzzle together (we are old), going on a walk down to fremont, and NAPS up the bung hole.
tomorrow (as in today)i'm going to pick up my bro-ham from the airport. AND... while we're there we will also pick up.........BRENTIE!!!! we have plans to eat at aqua verde
i'm really, REALLY excited because i don't even remember the last time we ate there. but it was probably when brent lived in seattle and brent hasn't lived in or around seattle in a long, long time.
it's really late and i should probably go to bed. i haven't stayed up this late since...um friday, but still, i usually go to bed at like 10.
