birthday and school
school has started. so from here on it's baby time and school time mixed with housework and cooking.
sunday was my 26th b-day. i got some birthday money and spent it at target on some slippers (!!!!) and a new pan to cook in (!!!)
i also got a sweet simplehuman garbage can. it is so cool! i would post links but i don't have time for that crap.
see yah when i see yah!

happy smooferversary.

tonight my parents came over for a while to babysit so we could go out to dinner at a restaurant about a half a block away. i made a very small bottle for baby not knowing if he would actually drink it or not. he drank 2 or 3 bottles from corey way back when and then i stopped pumping because i had no reason for anyone else to feed him. but then about a month ago i did have a reason for corey to have a bottle ready for him and he wouldn't take it. then we tried again another time and he still wouldn't take it. so then i made his bottle for tonight and didn't want to invest too much time/milk into a bottle he might not even drink. so there was only about an once or so of milk in it. turns out it was no problem and he drank it up in minutes. thank jeebus.
not to talk too much about baby related things...but this afternoon before my parents came over baby had the BIGGEST blowout. he was wearing just a onesie and no pants and was sitting on the boppy on my lap. i heard him poop and then moved him around a little bit before noticing that the entire boppy was covered with poos. so i stood up and it was a little bit on his leg and ALL over my jeans and tank top. then i changed him and there was hardly any on his butt. go figure. for more baby news please see flickr. which is turning into all baby all the time.
anyway, so we ate out for dinner. like wine, anti pasto , "main course" or as i like to call it, "noodly doodly with saucy waucy" and dee-sert. which was espresso creme caramel. it was yummers and we had a lot of fun.
p.s. i bought some dahlias like my wedding bouquet. dahlia season is my favorite!

things today
we taught baby how to fish through the dumpster and find food scraps that are still edible. he's a fast learner!
today was the first day of staycation around seattle. we spent most of the day by the canal eating a picnic lunch. i drank an iced mocha which tasted watered down before i realized that i'm trying to avoid milk. i stopped drinking coffee while pregs and now that baby is born i have had only two , no three, coffees.
baby has learned how to latch on to my face and suck. he's adorably weird.
i have tons and tons of pictures to upload but i'm on a different computing machine so it'll have to wait.

my eyez hurtz.
baby seems to have gone to bed early in his swing. corey is out getting ice cream. this week corey is taking a "staycation" and we are going to bum around town.
i kind of want to see that burn after reading movie.
i guess that is all i have to say today!

oy. do you ever have those days when you feel like you won't be getting anything done? i'm having one of those days but i have lots of things to do.
in other news: september. YES! september is my birthday month AND our anniversary month. plus, back to school month. plus fall starts month. the best month of the year, as far as i'm concerned. (although june might be replacing it since baby was born in june) anyhoo. what was i saying. i forgot.
i'd really like to go to the goodwill and look for interesting tshirts to make hats or pant for baby. these footsie pants are cute. probably cuter if i could find sometihng striped.
